![]() That one looks even more bad-ass / badasser, but this one was white and not so detailed. Fuck the other, I want what Frightrags has. (!) It also took me a moment to place the truck in my memory - I haven't seen the movie since good ol' basic cable days. |

"Maximum Overdrive".....This is such classic 80's cheese. A real cheesefest..but a fun and entertaining one at that. The cast was all over the place as are the performances. The directing from Stephen King was actually pretty good for his 1st time. Makeup was good and the special effects were awesome in some scenes and just ok in others. GREAT soundtrack by ACDC too. I have seen this movie many many times since I was 12 years old and enjoy it everytime. It's a guilty pleasure and one I like to revisit from time to time.

Pretty good flick. l always thought King was too hard on himself concerning this movie. He did pretty good for a first time director. And l LOVE D.T. by AC/DC.

Only SK Novel actaully directed by Stephen King because he always hated other directors adaptations of his books. Classic 80's cheese with classic lines like "We Made You"(Wanda The Waitress) and soundtrack by AC/DC how could you go wrong. Maximum Overdrive is bad, but I deeply love watching it.
BTW, how did Emilio Estevez get cooked into this film? He's great in this film, but it's just odd to see him cast in this cheese fest.
