Skyfall (2012) - BLOODY-DISGUSTING

LOS ANGELES, CA (JANUARY 11, 2011) – Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli of EON Productions, together with Gary Barber and Roger Birnbaum, Co-Chairmen and Chief Executive Officers of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc., today announced that the 23rd James Bond film will commence production in late 2011 for a worldwide release on November 9, 2012.

Daniel Craig will be returning as the legendary British secret agent, with Sam Mendes directing a screenplay written by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and John Logan.

Didn't see another thread about this. But there is an official announcement that Bond 23 is officially a go. Sam Mendes of American Beauty fame is the director and of course their go to writers, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade who wrote such beauties as Die Another Day and World Is Not Enough the writing team leader is John Logan who wrote some really great movies. I guess they learned their mistake and like Casino Royal and Quantum of Solace being written by Paul Haggis this will hopefully be written by John Logan and Purvis and Wade will just be more in charge of the chornology of the character and have nothing to actually do with the story. I'm excited now that Sam Mendes is working on this with a great writer like Logan, its what made the first two Craig's Bond Films so good.

Sam Mendes directing, Fuck yes !!

Although I'm not happy with their choice of writers. Die Another Day and The World Is Not Enough are two of the weakest Bond films.

Hopefully this will turn out better than Quantum Of Solace.

The last one didn't even feel like a Bond movie to me.

Meh ..

QOS sucked, which is a shame because Casino Royale is one of the best Bond movies ever.

Well they have been doing nothing but writing bond and worked on Casino and Quantum but I think they are just used as people who know the character and leave it to the writer they bring on board up to them, in this case Logan, to write the whole movie. I personally loved Quantum as far as Paul Haggis' story but Forster was probably not the best choice at director. Mendes has a bit more experience with action via Jarhead but not much. I have faith that John Logan will create a great new bond script and have complete faith in Mendes handling characters.

I love that Mendes is directing but I'm not the biggest Craig fan.

QOS is one of the worst and Casino Royale is slightly above average. I'll keep my eyes on this none the less, being a huge Bond fan and all.

We can only hope that the studio won't getting bankrupt again during production. Would be a shame considering that Sam Mendes is directing. I am still contemplating about the fact that they accomplished gaining Sam Mendes for that job. The outcome must be great.

l like the Daniel Craig Bond films, but l really miss the 007 of yesterday. l miss Q and all the gadgets, l miss the crazy over-the-top villains, and the easy Bond girls with suggestive names like Pussy Galore and Xenia Onatopp. l guess that era is over now.
