I'll admit it's still reasonable now, and I'm just as guilty as anyone else for buying extra content, but it's a slippery slope. If the trend continues, the content at launch is going to get smaller and smaller, and it won't be long before you're paying for every chapter of the game.

I totally get what you're saying but do you think we would be getting these huge add ons for something like Morrowind back in 2003 out of the goodness of their heart?
They've found something to make more money, and it's mutually beneficial to everyone. If you want extra costumes, or unlock a gun earlier than normal you can. Good for them.
