Abnormal Beauty
I thought there was a thread about this movie but since there isn't one I made one. I saw this when I was browsing around for movies I read the synopsis and it sounded interesting. I checked out the trailer and it looked pretty good. I even got to see the first eight minutes of the film now I’m really looking forward to watching it. Has anyone seen this and if you did what did you think about it?
Synopsis: Jiney (Race Wong) is an art and photography major. Coming from a wealthy family, with good looks and a promising career to boot, Jiney seems to has it all. Colleagues would say that she’s hard on herself when she tells them that she’s never pleased with any of the photos she takes, despite winning numerous awards for them even when she’s still an undergrad. But her life soon takes a tragic turn when she witnesses a car accident where a pedestrian was accidentally killed. At first, Jin is shocked, but she has the strangest urge to photograph the event and the death. Once the photos are developed, Jin finally sees the pictures and has a sensation she has never felt before with any of the photos she has taken. Instead of focusing on landscapes and buildings, she now finds tragic deaths and unfortunate events to capture. She starts off with painting pictures and adding blood and gore, then moves to live animals, but soon she runs out of things to capture and Jiney begins to fight the urge of taking matters into her own hands by “helping” people meet their fate a little sooner. Before she could do so, however, Jiney receives a mysterious videotape sent to her, where a victim is captured and tortured alive. Apparently, she’s not the only demented person in the world trying to capture death in their art. But who could it be and who else knows about her obsession with death?
