Final Destination What If...
What if....

In the final Final Destination........

We learn.....

That Tony Todd is death personified? AKA Death in human form=Tony Todd

After how he talked to the charatchers in 1&2 I got to thinking, what if that is just death toying with them?

Opinions please! This is starting to blow my mind...

I am a HORROR movie!!! 03-21-2006 02:18 AM

Uh....i thought that's what people were supposed to think?

CJ_01976 03-21-2006 04:02 AM

He is what we call a "red herring", just something thrown into the mix to make people think the wrong thing. He was more of a tribute to that clichè of the old fart telling the kids that death is coming to get them. I don't even think he's in "Final Destination 3" anyway.

XMARLTONX 03-21-2006 05:36 AM

He's not in final destination 3, but that doesnt mean we couldnt see him again.

CJ_01976 03-21-2006 05:51 AM

That's just it, if he was Death then he would have been in 3. Sure wasn't the wind going after those kids.

It might have well been the wind. FD3 was made just for the $$$ without any thought to the plot, its characters or the original story:grenade: . Not having Tony Todd in #3 is only the beginning of whats wrong with this film. I was so...excited to see it, FD1 & 2 are some of my favorite horror films, and I was hoping they would continue it in good fashion. They should have just left it at 1 & 2 and I hope to hell they don't bother to make 4 because it can only get worse.

actually, they brought him back as the voice for the devil of the rollercoaster ride.

Keith Dallas .... Offensive Lineman
Michael Stewart .... M-80 Boy
Michael Stewart .... M-80 Boy
Victor Ayala .... M-80 Boy
Tony Todd .... Devil's Voice (voice)
Dylan Basile .... Sean
Matt Ellis .... Subway Performer
Sean Ellis .... Subway Performer
i guess, in the third, death found his way out of the morgue by hiring a voice acting agent. i think thats what they are implying. right?

See? More evidence!

Death isn't tangible....In Final Destination 3, the process of taking those kids life in the order they were "supposed" to have died in, repeated because :spoiler: they happened to be fortunate enough to skip the rollercoaster ride because of the so called "vision" the bitch seen....So Candyman would just be walking around, handing out visions to these people so they can cheat their demise, just so he can have a little fun with a few of the ones that didn't bite the bullet at the time they were intended to...Or supposedly intended to....Maybe it's just me, but laaaaaaaammmmmeee....If they make another FD movie, and re-use the same "death-is-after-you-because-you-didn't-die-with-your-buddies" routine, I'm going to fucking disgourge my lunch, or just not watch it...Yeah, just not watching seems like a better idea...

And is it just me, or did the statue of the devil at the rollercoaster ride look like he was jacking himself off Couldn't you just see a big red shlong in his hand??

with that post right there, im officially convinced that tony todd is death in real life....and he just wants us to think he is an actor, thus proof that the "rule" to hide in the place people would least expect to find you still holds up.

Its crazy, eh?
