Does/Did anyone actually like this movie? Compared to the ones where its prequels and sequels, i like that they remade the original.

Ive heard from some people and heard both sides:

"I hate it, its stupid and that cop taking the camera man through the house is sooo fake, its not real!" (Duh)

But ive also heard

"Leatherface is actually kind of creppy in this one and its brilliant"

I actually saw this before the original. Having now seen both of them, I like the original better. However, I do like the Sheriff character in the remake. To me, he was the true villain of the piece, not Leatherface.

The old thread is ancient, this one is fine.

I actually didn't mind this movie sure its not the original but its better then part 4 thats for fucking sure that movie is a shit stain.

i really hated the remake. from the moment they said they were down there to buy weed until the end. but it's not like the sequals were good either.

though nothing beats a good ol' fashioned chainsaw fight!

I liked the remake better than all the sequels, The orignal still can't be touched.

This is one of the best remakes, although I think the Beginning was better. I would love to see a third one, or better yet, Jason Vs. Leatherface after the Friday The 13th remake comes out. :mrgreen:

Jason would murder leather face with ease.

Maybe zombie Jason, but if it was human Jason, it would be a good fight. :banana:

Since my posts keep getting deleted...I'll just say about this flick that I never really understood all the hate. It's not a great film by any means, and it's certainly not as good as the original...but as far as remakes go (especially all the remakes since), it's pretty damn good.
