To be honest, without the 3D and CGI there really isn't all that much too it. I was slightly disapointed. Visually it's outstanding but it lacked something. It's the first time a James Cameron film hasn't blown me away.

Never heard about it being a trilogy. That's odd. I knew the studio didn't really understand it. They seemed to think that it's 145 (roughly) runtime would bore the viewers. Now the movie seems to jump around a lot. I only understood what was going on properly after I read the book. It all made a lot more sense after that.

That's the thing, the book is left very open ended as well. Clive never wrote any sequel to the book and I don't think he really planned to for the movie either.

Yep, he was turned into the thing he hated most: nightbreed. The ending a bit too open for my liking.

Well Decker never gets revived in the book and Narcise dies. I think I like the aspect of Decker being resurrected.

The more interest the better.

Well as far as I know it followed the book a little better. Narcise (guy who ripped off his face) gets decapitated at the end. Lori kills herself as she can't stand to part with Boon. He bites her to turn her into nightbreed. There's some more stuff with Decker that goes into his psychological condition more. More stuff in Midian. Possibly more gore and other stuff. It'll be killer to see it back in the movie.

The movie was butchered though. half hour or more got cut. Thing is the footage is easily assessable but the studio don't think it'd sell if they do a Directors Cut.

Decker is a badass character. Love that David Cronenberg plays him
