It does sound like that it concentrates on Leatherface after the family is killed. The twisted family is the best part of the films.

He only has a small role this time around. The story at least sounds half decent.

Yeah, that's true. Aja needs to do another original film again and stop being Hollywoods go to guy for remakes. I'll be giving Leatherface a watch for sure.

That is spot on. If it's not a movie with a recognizable name then they won't touch it. It's all brand name recognition, hence why the market is flooded with remakes and sequels, and why nothing good is coming out of Hollywood. All of the great horrors in the past few years (with exceptions here and there) have been foreign.
