I'm on the fence on Hatchet 2. I don't think it was nearly as funny as the original, and while there was more gore, it just wasn't very good looking. I'll have to watch it again on DVD/Blu-ray.

Haven't heard of Red Hill. I'll have to look into it. Hopefully Netflix has it.

Your avatar is set! Have to break out the DVD soon. That time of year.

Everyone likes different stuff. The effects/scale of the film are impressive for the budget for sure. The ending just comes out of nowhere, and seems silly. Why was he the only human able to do that? No hints ahead of time that this would be possible. Would have worked without it.

Aww, must have missed that. Love the cover art. Thanks for the head's up.

I suppose I was a little harsh on it, but the ending... I liked that there was no hope, and then to end it that way... Didn't like it. The effects were pretty impressive, but the director's own a an effects company. Hard to know how big a role that played into it.

It's not really too bad. It just happens a few brief times. It's kinda weird we haven't heard anything on the DVD yet.

Did you see Skyline? If not, don't waste your time. I thought it would be a decent timewaster at worst, but man is it bad. The ending might be the dumbest thing ever.

I'm not sure the subplots are toned down, so much as rearranged. The cats are gone, yes, but there has been some added CGI that I found a little distracting. Definitely worth checking out, though.

Do most wal-mart's have them? I need to see that film! Fucking hope it's not in the bin, hate digging through that shit.

Btw.. they're going with Saw: The Final Chapter for the dvd title.

Watched it last night, liked it quite a bit. Another great recommendation.

Now I wanna see Curtains! But I don't wanna buy that stupid movie set for it.

I'm not sure about Let Me In. If you didn't like LTROI, I'm not sure you'd like LMI. It's about 80-85% the same. Color palette has been changed around, and some other little things have been slightly altered. I enjoyed it though, as the children's performances were outstanding.
