05-01-2013 02:43 PMWonderlustI like them both equally. The first is perfect for it's time period and the new one is just beautiful for nowadays.

Its coming here in June, gonna watch the original first and going to the theater to see the remake...maybe kill some idiots on the way. ; )
I'm glad you liked it though. -
05-01-2013 03:03 AMtravisbickleSo....Maniac was awesome. Best new Horror movie I've seen in a while. I still prefer the original, but that goes without saying... Would've been nice to see this in a theater.

04-28-2013 04:04 AMtravisbickleGood morning.

So, the Maniac remake has Wonderlust's seal of approval? -
04-23-2013 07:29 PMtravisbickleThe original Maniac is one of my favorites as well. I'm a sucker for serial killer based horror. The world needs more movies like Maniac, Henry and Man Bites Dog.
I think Wood will do fine. He may not look like a serial killer (Spinell sure as fuck did, though) but neither did Dahmer or Bundy. I'm curious to see if they'll try to recreate the famous shotgun scene...And if they do, I hope they don't CGI it to death. -
04-23-2013 02:49 AMWonderlustIt will be here in Chicago, in June. Maniac {1980} is a 10/10 film and Frank Zito one of my favorite characters.....ever. I was skeptical aswell. Can Maniac have a polished look? The 1980 version looks so gritty...its part of it's charm but then I saw a 6min clip, the beginning..I believe and I liked it...now these clips and gifs. His eyes..he looks insane.I believe he can do it. He was good in Sin City. I will never compare the two films..I never do that. I can't. I just look at it as a directors version of the original...just a few of my thoughts...at 4 o'clock in the morning..<3

04-23-2013 01:12 AMtravisbickleThought you might like that. You're Welcome.

I'm pretty syked for it, too. Probably my most anticipated movie this year. I was dead set against it at first, but after seeing a few nasty clips, it eventually won me over. I hope I get a chance to see it in a theater, but I doubt that will happen. Florida always gets the shitty end of the stick with limited theatrical releases.
