Creepy Archives Volume 4 HC Out June 24
I am currently reading Creepy Archives Volume 1 and loving every minute of it. From the perfectly short stories with amazing titans of their time artists, Creepy has it all for classic horror enthusiasts. Dark Horse comics has been releasing collected works of the magazine and in June, they are releasing Creepy Archives Volume 4. Some of the best parts of the collected works is the attention to detail with including all the old ads and letters to the editor section that originally came with the magazine! Needless to say, Dark Horse has gone above and beyond doing Archives and this is clearly a labor of love. More info after the break…
Pulpy, smart, and scary, the stories in Creepy constituted some of the best short-form horror fiction ever told in comics. With legendary comics writer/editor Archie Goodwin both editing the magazine and crafting most of its storytelling, Creepy was at once a newsstand favorite with fright fans, and a vaunted showcase of fine comics art for serious fans of the art form. For decades, the only sources for these stories were the expensive collectible original issues. Now Dark Horse is collecting all of the original material from the history of Creepy magazine into a hardcover archive library that is garnering rave reviews from fans and critics alike!
