DEAD SPACE Hardcover

Written by Antony Johnston and art by Ben Templesmith (30 Days of Night) comes the prequel to the all-new blockbuster sci-fi survival horror game from Electronic Arts! On the distant mining colony of Aegis VII, something strange and alien lurks beneath the surface... a mysterious artifact that brings nothing but trouble to the isolated workforce. As the arrival of the famous planetcracker ship Ishimura fast approaches, security officer Bram Neumann fi nds himself caught between religious fervor, miners slowly going insane, and the machinations of the mining corporation itself as he races to discover the secrets of the Marker... before it destroys them all!

THE WALKING DEAD (TPB)

The Walking Dead is centered around a small-town police officer from Cynthiana, Kentucky, his family, and a number of other survivors who have banded together in order to survive after the world is overrun with zombies. As the series progresses, the characters become more developed, and their personalities shift under the stress of a zombie apocalypse. Fighting growing despair — and occasionally each other — the group searches for a secure location which they can finally call home. The lives of these survivors will be changed forever. The book started back in 2003 and there are several volumes of on TPB available for you guys to pick up.

HACK/SLASH Paperbacks

Get ready for the movie with three GIANT trade paperbacks of HACK/SLASH, which is a series of comic books published by Devil's Due Publishing. The series, starting as a series of one-shots, was created by writer and sometime penciller Tim Seeley. The focus of the series is on a horror victim, Cassie, who strikes back at the monsters, known as "slashers", with Vlad, a freakish man who frequently wears a gas mask. Oh, did I mention that Cassie Hack is freakin' hot?!

MARVEL ZOMBIES I (TPB)

Although the series went downhill, I can re-read the first volume of MARVEL ZOMBIES over and over again. It first came from the skies - a horrific virus that turned nearly every man, woman and child on Earth into undead zombies. Even Marvel's greatest heroes - including Captain America, Spider-Man and the Hulk - have succumbed, driven only by one mindless goal: to feed on human flesh. But with only a small number of survivors remaining against this unstoppable tide of hunger, what happens when the zombie's finally run out of humans to eat?! Comic-book fans devoted enough to read only Marvel titles have long been dubbed "Marvel Zombies," but even the most passionate reader could not have predicted the astounding success of this series. Writer Robert Kirkman, known for his best-selling horror series The Walking Dead, crafts a shocking, spellbinding tale of a Marvel Universe infected by a worldwide zombie plague. Veteran artist Sean Phillips fleshes out Kirkman's tale, ably transforming once-familiar Marvel heroes into disturbing visions of decaying flesh and rotting bones. If the story doesn't appeal to you... the art, THE ART!! (Also available: Volume 2 and MARVEL ZOMBIES vs ARMY OF DARKNESS).

CITY OF DUST

From the dark mind of Steve Niles (30 Days of Night) comes a story set in the aftermath of our world's collapse. This chilling vision of the future unveils a world where the police now patrol for crimes of the imagination. Religious beliefs, along with any tales of false heroes, idols or gods, are illegal. The world is anew and the enemy adapts. Detective Philip Khrome doesn't enforce Imagination, he works homicide; that's where the action is, and he's seen it all before. But criminals evolve and the world's forever changing. When a killing spree hits his city sector, Khrome finds himself face to face with killers born of grim reality with old world superstition and everything is not what it seems.

LET THE RIGHT ONE IN Paperback

Loved the movie (you should have)? Then it's time to go read the rource material for what might possibly be the best vampire film of all-time. Oskar and Eli. In very different ways, they were both victims. Which is why, against the odds, they became friends. And how they came to depend on one another, for life itself. Oskar is a 12 year old boy living with his mother on a dreary housing estate at the city's edge. He dreams about his absentee father, gets bullied at school, and wets himself when he's frightened. Eli is the young girl who moves in next door. She doesn't go to school and never leaves the flat by day. She is a 200 year old vampire, forever frozen in childhood, and condemned to live on a diet of fresh blood. John Ajvide Lindqvist's novel, a huge bestseller in his native Sweden, is a unique and brilliant fusion of social novel and vampire legend; and a deeply moving fable about rejection, friendship and loyalty.

JUST AFTER SUNSET (Stephen King)

Stephen King -- who has written more than fifty books, dozens of number one New York Times bestsellers, and many unforgettable movies -- delivers an astonishing collection of short stories, his first since Everything's Eventual six years ago. As guest editor of the bestselling Best American Short Stories 2007, King spent over a year reading hundreds of stories. His renewed passion for the form is evident on every page of Just After Sunset. The stories in this collection have appeared in The New Yorker, Playboy, McSweeney's, The Paris Review, Esquire, and other publications.

LOCKE & KEY (Hardcover)

Speaking of Stephen King, check out the first batch of horror comics from his son Joe Hill. Locke & Key tells of Keyhouse, an unlikely New England mansion, with fantastic doors that transform all who dare to walk through them.... and home to a hate-filled and relentless creature that will not rest until it forces open the most terrible door of them all...! Acclaimed suspense novelist and New York Times best-selling author Joe Hill (Heart-Shaped Box) creates an all-new story of dark fantasy and wonder, with astounding artwork from Gabriel Rodriguez.
