Quick Look at Marvel Zombies 4 #1

Published

on

The highly anticipated sequel to the Marvel Zombies series came out yesterday, Marvel Zombies 4. Series 3 really redeemed the series in my eyes so I was very excited to see the same writer was doing series 4. I finished reading issue 1 so I wanted to give my thoughts just in case you’re still on the fence about the new series. Quick look after the break…
MarvelZombies4Var Series 4 takes place right after all the adventures and exploits of series 3. A couple of zombies were able to come over to ‘our’ universe and Moribus and the newly re-formed Midnight Sons are trying to exterminate them and clean up all their infected messes. The Midnight Sons are an old team of mostly monsters (Vampires, Son of Satan, Witches, and Werewolves) that have been giving the task to destroy all zombies.

The story is a lot more fun and light than previous one and feels like it’s more comfortable with it’s content: ex. Series 2. The pacing of issue 1 seems pretty strong and I hope they continue at the same pace.

I can’t read too much into the series 4 completely since I’ve only read issue 1 but I’m liking what I see so far. If for any reason you felt like picking this up, I would suggest it. Now comes the horrible boring weeks until the next issue comes out. What did you think of it?
