THE 2007 ANTI-ACADEMY AWARDS.

A few weeks back I decided to do an online version of the Academy Awards. In my life for as long as I can remember, I have never intentionally missed an academy awards show except for a couple that work got in the way of, or in one case I was out of town at a horror convention (go figure). I love the awards and respect them on a very high level.
When I heard that the WGA strike may stop it from happening, I took it upon myself to make my own. I spoke to many people about this, doing it in many different incarnations. Doing it broadcast from hell, doing a puppet version, and a few other ideas had been bandied about. The one that made the most sense to do on a no budget and with very little time is to do MY version. The Anti-Academy Awards, aka… The SPOOKYDAN Awards. The award show that pays respect and honors those films that have made an impact to dark horror culture.
