I don't hate. I just have certain things I look for. Most of the time pacing will kill a movie. I usually give out 7 or 8 to most films...I'm very generous usually.

It helps that I'm working on my fourth script before I start sending out to competitions and agents. What do you mean I hate everything you like? Oh, I have Cattle Call and Witless Protection if you want those. We even have LA INK: SEASON 1 coming in.
Nice!! Don't know many people that have seen it...let me know what you think!! At the very least, you'll appreciate the stylistic animation and how unique the show is. The ending is a little weak, but I can overlook it because everything before the last episode is top-notch. It's one of those cases where I think it could have benefit from a few more episodes.
I think you're pretty safe with picking up the Dark Horse versions. I have up to volume 20, 21-23 are out, and 24-25 are available for pre-order. It's up to volume 32 in Japan and not finished yet.
The still screens don't bother me too much...I used to watch old school anime like The Glass Mask, which is full of stills, so it's not too bothersome. It's not as bad these days, but I actually prefer the older style to the new digimation that most everyone uses now...it all looks almost too perfect.
Have you read any of the Berserk manga?? If not, I highly recommend it...it just gets better and better. I really wish someone would pony up the money for a second season of the series. I always here rumblings about it, but at this point, everytime I hear a newsbit about it, I put it away in the file cabinet where I keep announcements on new Jodorowsky films
