The six songs I've heard from them today were all pretty good and very relaxing.

I'll check those guys out.

I'm big on Nile, Behemoth, Gorgoroth and Pig Destroyer (but those are all different forms of heavy metal).

I found some band called Amorphis. How this is death metal I have no idea...the guys sings almost the whole time...it's actually pretty relaxing.

Sucks man.

I'm going through the list of Black Metal bands on wiki because I'm trying to learn a bunch. It's funny how much I can dislike a band but once they put out a new album I could love them. At least that seems to happen in Death Metal.

Crazy Japanese band...they go from pop to metal. Probably my favorite work out music ever and it just sounds like they had so much fun making their record.

Those guys are not bad... I might download the album you suggested soon.

BTW, The Way of All Flesh is AMAZING. I hadn't heard anything from Gojira until I listened to this album and I was blown away. Within the first few minutes of Oroborus I was already hooked. It's a damn good album and I can't wait to hear the other stuff they put out.

Hey, man! Glad we're on the same page in terms of music.

Let me know what you think about those bands, once you get the chance to check them out.

Btw, I'm downloading Death Magnetic as we speak.

True, true! They made something different, but they didn't deviate from the core of the song so people will immediately recognize it.

The Undercurrent is definitely their weakest album, although I do believe it's a solid effort, even though only a few songs actually stick out. I'd say my favourite album is the second one, Luminiferous. If you like the ones you got, you have to check that one out. So true, man! When I listened to Skeksis for the first time, I didn't even know what to think.

I have to say, I'm not really a fan of Metallica... Never was... But the new single is actually pretty good! So I might give the new album a try. I'll let you know what I thought of it.

Awesome, man! Glad you liked it. What albums did you get, by the way?

Yep, they do have a lot of melodies on their albums. Guillaume (The second vocalist, that does the melodic parts) has an excellent voice and he can hit really high notes. Overall a fantastic band! One of my favourites ever!

And that cover is class! My dad thought it was actually Robert Plant singing in it.

Crap, I've been meaning to switch my profile back to public but kept forgetting it. Sorry.

Ok, here's the song:

Hope you like it! And if you feel like giving Scarve a listen, try getting their third album called Irradiant. All of their albums are amazing, but that one is the best.

Hey!

So I see you're a Led Zeppelin fan...

This death/thrash metal band called SCARVE, don't know if you're familiar with them, did this AMAZING cover of one of their songs called Friends. Have you listened to it? If not, I can hook you up.

Answer: Ya, definately hook me up. Been hearing about them lately and wanted to check em out.

Your profile is set to private so I have to answer you on my own wall.

Hahaha thats funny about the justin timberlake song.
Some ppl are ignorant. LOL.

Oh yea dude. Fucking brilliant.
So tell me... what did you think of Plagiarism?
I think their NIN and Soundgarden covers are fucking gun!
Baroness ay? Maybe I should check them out. What cds of theirs do you recommend?

Yea they are easily the most talented and unique band of this decade. I guess the best way to describe them is a mix between Neurosis and Iron Maiden. How would you describe them? Besides awesome lol.
Yea Jar Of Flies is a killer EP dude. The next one after that would easily be "Irony Is A Dead Scene" by DEP followed closely by "Opiate" by Tool.
As for cds on a desert island :
Damnation - Opeth, Undertow - Tool, Octavarium - Dream Theater, Irony Is A Dead Scene - DEP, The Fragile - NIN, Tomahawk - Tomahawk, Jar Of Flies - Alice In Chains etc etc.

Yea I'm into all of the bands on Hydra Head that I've heard : Isis, Pelican, Zozobra and the mighty Old Man Gloom.
And yea I love alot of the early nineties stuff too. Especially Faith No More and Alice In Chains. I just can't get enuff of "jar of flies". One of the most sacred of albums out there. Right alongside with Undertow. I love that alternative hard rock with a dark kind of edge.

As for LoG. Yea I've seen them live. Best balls out metal band I've seen as yet. As for Mastodon, dunno if you are as huge of a fan of theirs as I am but hows this? :
I've met them and I've got my Bass signed by them.
Nicest blokes you'll ever meet.
Brent offered me a beer. haha.

Yea man - spooky keyboards, awesome drum machine beats, metal style guitar, grindcore vocals. Thats Genghis Tron through and through.
What more could u ask for?
That and the new Opeth. They are probably the most impressive releases thus far.
I should check out Torche though. Arent they signed to hydrahead?
What else you into???

Saw your post in "best releases 08" and I would have to say I agree wholeheartedly. Altho I can't say I've heard Torche. But Genghis Tron? Fuck yea dude. That and the new Opeth release.
