Bill Moseley Transforms Into Charles ‘Manson’
Bloody Disgusting has learned that Bill Moseley has been cast as “Charles Manson” in Susanna Lo’s long-gestured Manson Girls, which is now said to begin lensing this coming March in Los Angeles. Eric Balfour (Skyline, Texas Chainsaw Massacre), Tania Raymonde (“Lost”), Brit Morgan (“True Blood”), Jennifer Landon and Chad Faust all join the previously announced Heather Matarazzo (Hostel: Part II), Michael Monks, Laura Harring (The Caller, One Missed Call, The Punisher), Patti D’Arbanville (“Rescue Me,” “Nip/Tuck”), Estella Warren (Planet of the Apes, The Cooler), Monica Keena (Freddy vs Jason, Night of the Demons), and Stella Maeve (“My Super Psycho Sweet 16: Part 2”). Thora Birch is no longer cast. The pic follows a young girl from a wealthy Malibu family who fell under Manson’s spell. She was not one the “Family” members involved in the clan’s infamous murder spree, but Pitman was later imprisoned after she became involved with the Aryan Brotherhood and was convicted of being an accessory (after the fact) to murder.
Written and directed by “Mr. Robot” creator Sam Esmail, the upcoming Panic Carefully is described as being in the vein of “Mr. Robot” and The Silence of the Lambs, and it’s coming to theaters next year from Warner Bros. Previously set for theatrical release on February 26, 2027, however, Panic Carefully has been moved this week to April 9, 2027.
Panic Carefully will be released in theaters and IMAX by Warner Bros.
Julia Roberts leads the star-studded cast of Sam Esmail’s Panic Carefully, which also includes Eddie Redmayne (Fantastic Beasts), Brian Tyree Henry (Godzilla vs. Kong), Ben Chaplin (The Thin Red Line), Aidan Gillen (“Game of Thrones”), Joe Alwyn (The Favourite), Naledi Murray (“Sweet Tooth”), and Elizabeth Olsen (“WandaVision”).
Esmail previously directed Julia Roberts in Netflix’s Leave the World Behind.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the paranoid thriller is said to involve the hunt for a cyber-terrorist.
Esmail and Chad Hamilton produce for Esmail Corp. (“Mr. Robot”), along with Roberts, Scott Stuber (Frankenstein), Marisa Yeres Gill (Leave the World Behind), and Lisa Gillan (Leave the World Behind). Kevin McCormick and Chrystal Li are overseeing the project for Warner Bros.
