Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II-IV, Mother’s Day) is gearing up to get behind the camera for 11-11-11, his religious horror that begins lensing January 17 in Barcelona, Spain. We just received word on the film’s plot details, which have been verbalized to me as the following: Penned by Bousman, after the tragic death of his wife and child, famed American author Joseph Crone travels from the United States to Barcelona, Spain to reunite with his enstranged brother Samuel and dying father, Richard. However, fate has a different plan for Joseph as his life becomes plagued with strange happenings, and the constant sightings of the number 11. Curiosity quickly turns to obsession, and Joseph soon realizes that this number holds a horrific meaning not only to himself but possibly to all of religion. Isolated in a foreign country with only the support of his companion, Sadie, Joseph soon realizes that 11/11/11 is more than just a date, it’s a WARNING!

‘Onslaught’ Official Trailer – Unstoppable Slashers Enter ‘The Guest’ Universe This September

Published

Adam Wingard (You’re Next, The Guest) heads back into the world of The Guest for A24‘s Onslaught, and the badass official trailer has arrived this morning. Check it out below.

It looks like Wingard turned Friday the 13th into an action movie for Onslaught, which unleashes three masked maniacs billed as heat-seeking missiles in the form of humans.

And yes, they’re part of the same secret program seen in The Guest!

Wingard explains, “I look at this as a cap in the trilogy between The Guest and You’re Next. It’s not like a direct sequel, in the sense that it’s a continuation of those characters, but it takes place in the same town as The Guest. The idea is that the secret programs we’re seeing going on here are other little aspects of the same thing David’s character came from in The Guest.”

“So you could actually technically call this a sequel,” Wingard admits. “It’s in the same universe.”

Releasing in theaters on September 4, Adam Wingard’s Onslaught is Rated ‘R’ for “Strong bloody violence, some gore, sexual material/nudity, and language.”

The duo behind The Guest, director Adam Wingard and writer Simon Barrett, are re-teaming for the upcoming Onslaught, which stars Adria Arjona in the leading role.

Here’s the synopsis: “When a rogue squad of genetically engineered super soldiers break loose in the desert, a badass Army sniper must unleash hell to protect her young daughter.”

Rebecca Hall (The Night House, Godzilla x Kong) and Dan Stevens (The Guest) also star in Adam Wingard’s upcoming new movie Onslaught alongside Michael Biehn, Reginald VelJohnsonEric WareheimDrew Starkey, and Alex “Poatan” Pereira

Dan Stevens starred alongside Maika Monroe in 2014 action-thriller The Guest. He played a mysterious ex-soldier with a secret agenda who wreaks havoc on a small town.
