About Me: I'm not a teenager anymore (haven't been one in almost twenty years), but I grew up in one of the greatest times in Horror history, the 80's! I'm still big on that era, as well as the Metal music that came out in the same time, so I came here mostly to chat about that. Thank goodness the PG-13 era is over, now lets get to the Gore!

superfry:Remember this?:
I used to live for this one:
RedSabbath:Yeah, outta those I remember this one
"Monster Squad". I didn't remember
Love Boat's Gopher was in it! But the
others didn't ring a bell. I guess I
should be lucky to remember the one's
I did! Thanks for the links!
Slasher Icon911:Loved your review of The Devils Rejects. RedSabbath: Ah Jeez, thanks a lot. Sometimes when I take the
time to write these things out I wonder if anyone actually reads them!
Thanks again!
I'll just give you the list of all the specific DVDs I bought.
-Hellraiser Anchor Bay
-Wes Craven's The Hills Have Eyes Anchor Bay (2 dvds)
-The Omen Collectors Edition 20th Century Fox (2 dvds)
-Phantasm Anchor Bay Collection (came with a sweet metallic slip cover but Best Buy had to put a damn sticker over the top covering the S&M of Phantasm...I left it on due to it peeling off the metallic paint on the lettering if I remove it)
-Phantasm III Uncut Anchor Bay Collection
-Re-Animator Anchor Bay Collection (2 dvds)
Can't beat all that special edition stuff for 4.99 eh?
RedSabbath:Anyway concerning the scratches on Death Proof/Planet Terror,
for the theatre expierence, it sounds really cool, surely giving
you the 70's Grindhouse experience. But for keeping that
effect on it's DVD release seems to me unnecessary, as it
doesn't have the same effect at home. Not to mention that the
actual film stock used to make these films are of today's
clarity, so the scratches will seem even more out of place
on High-Def TV's. Well, that's how I see it, I just was
curious if they left that in for the home release...now I know. Dobe Dobe:Death Proof is a great movie. The scratches and shit are barely noticeable once you get into the movie. You absolutely have to see it. RedSabbath:Well, scratches or not, I'd like to see them both eventually, they're just not top priority right now to me. In the buying department, I know these two will eventually be released together, and I'll buy them then. Dobe Dobe:Whatever floats your boat, but you'll feel silly for waiting once you watch Death Proof.
Dobe Dobe:I guess I'll have to re-watch Doctor Butcher, huh? I first watched it when I was new to horror, and I hated it. Maybe, with my newly sophisticated tastes, I'll like it? RedSabbath:It definitely has that "80's Italian" feel to it. It does at times seem like a rip-off of "Zombi 2" yet not nearly as good. Still, this Zombie Holocaust DVD is the true version, without the addition of the American opening (still able to be seen in the bonus features). It fits good with any fan of those Italian 80's gorefests. Just not in the Top Five. Dobe Dobe:Cool, thanks.
Dobe Dobe:Cool, I'm going to click through it now. RedSabbath:Great, lemme know whatcha think! Dobe Dobe:Awesome collection, man. I'm a little concerned about your women's workout videos. RedSabbath:Thanks, I'm surprised I'm not getting ribbed for all the kids videos (I guess it's understood, they MUST be entertained & stationary!) As for my woman's workout DVD, I was inputting all those DVD's via their UPC code, looking at the back of the cases, and didn't notice that till after. I figured, what the Hell, at least she's tryin'! Dobe Dobe:Well, I didn't cheat. All the DVDs on my list are full retail ones that I bought or received as gifts. I didn't get help from other people, you cheater. RedSabbath:OH! For a minute I thought you were accusing me of putting "back-up's" in there (those are all the originals)! But no, I can put all those DVD's for the woman & kids...... I BOUGHT THEM ALL! . But thanks for the thumbs-up. Wanna watch Barney? Dobe Dobe:Oh, awesome man. As long as you spent the cash and nobody else helped, it's sweet. I'll be over later to watch Barney. RedSabbath:Yeah, I'm going to not think about how much money I've spent on them in nine years . Enjoy, and Barney is just about on the "I Luv U, U Luv Me" bit so hurry up. See ya! Dobe Dobe: That's my favorite part, too!
RedSabbath:Hey Dobe2,
I got on the DVD Aficionado kick today, and lately I'm looking at everyone else's lists & I wanted to tell you that your list kicks ass! You got a great collection there. Just wanted to say that. Dobe Dobe:Well, shucks. Thanks for taking the time to click through my collection. I'd like to see yours when you've got it completed. RedSabbath:Well actually I do have it done! Click this: My Collection
!Viva Hate!:I thought I already commented you a few days ago but I guessed I imagined it...Lol. I'm weird like that sometimes...Lol.
Anyway, I was wondering if you ever heard anything further from Kristeen? RedSabbath:Sorry, I must missed this PC when you first wrote it!
Anyway, no I haven't heard from her since, but I'm still looking for a reasonably priced copy of "The Orphans". I still think it's entertaining! !Viva Hate!:Really? I can't even hear the song I have added to my profile...I have no idea what it even is. I evidently don't have the proper flash drivers or whatever it is for me to hear my own music...it's really sad
!Viva Hate!Well, if you REALLY want to get down to it...
Tori Amos is nothing more than a rip-off of Kate Bush!
RedSabbath:Yeah, yeah....but Kate never got popular in America...
and Tori did.
But yeah, it's true...... !Viva Hate!I remember when Tori Amos was popular...Power Rangers were still on TV RedSabbath: Okay now....but you do have a point. Between 1990
and 1996 Tori ruled the female alternative crowd.
Then she got married and had a baby.
Her career hasn't been the same since. !Viva Hate!I do believe that same thing happened to Elton John... RedSabbath:Yeah, yeah very funny. Seriously, I owe you one, I'm definitely picking up that "The Orphans" CD. Thanks for introducing me to that! !Viva Hate!It was my pleasure really...I'm glad I could bring sunshine into a dreary day...LOL. Okay, I'm overacting...Lol.
RedSabbath:Hey, thanks for the request!
Tell me, what's the name of that Tori Amos song on your page &
what album is that from? !Viva Hate!:The pleasure and the privilage is all mine
Well, it isn't actually Tori Amos...Lol. It's KristeenYoung (yep, one word)...the song is called "Life's Not Short, It's Sooo Long" and it appears on her latest album "The Orphans"...she is also currently the opening act for Morrissey's tour of America. She's really good and she has some amazing legs too. Lol.
Kill The Father http://six-by-nine.org/muruch/kriste...lthefather.mp3 RedSabbath:OMG! That has got to be the biggest rip-off of Tori
Amos I have ever heard in my life! Blatant as Hell! That "Kill The Father" track,
only in the chorus, but that "Life's Too Short" sounds like it's off of
"Little Earthquakes"! Still, very entertaining to this Tori fan, I'll be on the look-out for them! Thanks for the heads-up!
Dobe Dobe:That version you watched of Halloween 6 is the original Producer's Cut. I don't know if you knew that, but from what your post said, it didn't sound like it. RedSabbath:Yeah, it was the proclaimed "Producer's Cut". I haven't seen the other cut, but this is the one that has Loomis notice the sideways
"A" at the end and Jamie not dying at the early part. It was all I needed to see really concerning this flix, I still don't like the whole cult concept, it always seemed chessy in Halloween & not needed. Dobe Dobe:I've still been pretty lazy about seeing the Producer's Cut. I like the official release though. It was actually the first Halloween film I liked. RedSabbath:Hmmm..okay? But if you did like "Curse", you really need to check out this version, it does make alot more sense.
Doc:Pfft. Fair enough.
That said, all of my insults and name calling should be taken lightly.
... This is only the internet after all... RedSabbath:Honestly, this is the best response I could have gotten.
I understand and thanks for hearing me out, I appreciate it.
Doc:Reminding people that there is already an existing thread is general policy on the board to reduce clutter. I'm far from the only one who does that. As for my opinions... I have the right to express and argue them. Believe it or not, I even have the right to think you're wrong, and tell you so.
Finally, I do respect people. There are plenty of people here who hold and have earned my respect, because they deserve it. I don't treat people like shit for no reason.
PS. You're the one freaking out about mean stuff I said about you on a message board... RedSabbath:Look, you seem like you have some stuff to say, but you still tend to be too critical towards others. Yeah, you have the right to your own opinions, but so do they as well, without attack. You shouldn't shit on them if it doesn't agree with yours. Tell me I'm wrong if you think so, but don't call me names while you do it. Do you think that helps your case against my opinion's merit? No, of course not. Anyway, I think you add to the message board more than most, but at times you seem to take your view over others too far. If you don't like something about me, lemme know, but don't think I'm going to take being called a "cunt" lightly. Hopefully, we can shake hands and continue on, but something tells me you would care not to.....that's your prerogative.
P.S.: They're afraid that if they speak up, you could turn on them too....
Doc:Acting like a moderator? WTF does that mean? I act like I can move and close threads? That makes no sense you fucking twat for brains... RedSabbath:You constantly tell people what they should and shouldn't do, reminding people that there's already a thread for that, and generally are bossy & shitty towards people's opinions that aren't exactly like yours. Dude, it's just a message board, lighten up and start showing people respect. I have never called you a "cunt" or "twat for brains" or deserved that. Who the Hell do you think you are? Just because you've been here for a long time doesn't make you God. Show everyone some respect at some level and stop trying to be the King. I've never attacked you, yet you did to me. Grow up.
RedSabbath:Thanks! Uwe Are Welcome!
