BD Review: 'President's Day' VHS Horror Goodness
Posted: February 5, 2010 @ 4:31pm

Gearing up for the world premiere in Baltimore (click here for info) Bloody Disgusting's Tex Massacre got his hands on a copy of President's Day, a new slasher film that wooed him. "The way I see it, President’s Day is a quantum leap forward for a fledgling filmmaker who has proven over the last 4-years that he’s more than capable making quality films for less. Now, if he could just get a little bit more money for his next feature, maybe he can solve the FX issues and, perhaps, even buy back some of those precious VHS tapes he sold off." EXCLUSIVE Interview with 'Slime City Massacre' Star Jennifer Bihl
Posted: February 1, 2010 @ 3:35pm

When the original Slime City was released as a midnight movie back in the late 80s, I’m pretty sure that just about everybody would have called you a crazy bastard if you’d told them that more than two decades later, writer and director Greg Lamberson would once again fill up gallons and gallons of green jelly and get ready to shoot the longtime overdue sequel to his slime-tastic splatter fest from 20 years ago. But much to the surprise and delight of all the devoted slime-heads (me included!), he actually pulled it off! Now, only half a year later, Slime City Massacre is already finished and ready to be unleashed to the public. I hooked up with the lovely Buffalo-based actress Jennifer Bihl, one of the films lead actresses, and asked her a couple of questions about her role as Alexa. Grab yourselves a yoghurt & enjoy the read, fellow slimeheads! ...Read More

Roxxanne Benjami, one of our new contributors, sent us in her thoughts on Henry Saine's The Last Lovecraft: The Relic of Cthulhu, a new indie horror comedy that premiered at the Slamdance Film Festival last week. "For their part, the actors seem to be enjoying themselves, the story is solid, and the creature effects are astoundingly good for the budget range they're in. The result is a lovingly crafted and light-hearted monster flick that will get more than a few laughs." Click the title for the full review and don't forget to check out the badass trailer.
