'The Legend of Zombie Road 3-D' Begins Casting

Blood Worx Films' The Legend of Zombie Road 3-D is now casting in Phoenix, AZ over on Craigslist. Dread Central reports that starring Masiela Lusha, Betsy Rue (My Bloody Valentine) and Kane Hodder (Jason Voorhees), there are many Urban Legends surrounding Zombie Road and the area, ongoing for decades. The main legend is that the road is haunted by the ghost of a man, known only as Zombie, who in the 1960's escaped from a secret government testing facility for the criminally insane. Reports state that he would make his way nightly to a lovers lane look out bluff where he would stalk and kill party goers and return to the asylum before dawn. He was killed in the asylum after slaying approximately 22 people. The Legend of Zombie Road 3-D is centered around on the of the top ten most haunted places in America.

First Footage From Pulido's 'The Graves'

The first footage from the upcoming horror film, The Graves can be seen in the all-new video by horror-punk icons Calabrese posted below. The Graves is about sisters Megan and Abby whose visit to Skull City Mine turns into a mind bending fight for survival against menaces both human, and supernatural. "We'll launch The Graves official trailer on July 20th, right before Comicon International, but we wanted to give everyone a sneak peek," says writer/director Brian Pulido. "We feature Calabrese early on in The Graves and this video is a natural extension of that scene." In the coming weeks, horror fiends can expect video interviews with Tony Todd, D. John Lechago's Bio-Slime can't come soon enough, and now a stack of new hi-res images from the film have surfaced making our anticipated explode. Trapped in a room with only one door and no windows. Their cell phones do not work and no one outside of the building can hear their calls for help. The group of seven people is under siege as the shape shifting creature tries to seep inside. They are picked off one by one until it is obvious that they cannot out wait this predator. A plan is hatched to retrieve the case that the creature came in to see if it holds any clue to control it or destroy it. When they finally do get the case the creature breaks through the room's barriers and they have to run a macabre gauntlet through the building to the outside world. ...Read More

'I Sell the Dead' Director Inspired by Abbott & Costello

Writer/director Glenn McQuaid says he plans to follow his festival hit I Sell The Dead (trailer) with another project exploring the same graverobbing characters, writes Screen Daily. The Further Adventures of Blake and Grimes is “not so much a sequel [to I Sell The Dead] but a continuation of this world,” McQuaid tells Screen. He hopes to make that story a comic book first, and potentially turn that into another feature film eventually. Orphan Writer Heads to Vertigo's 'Lake Mungo'

David Leslie Johnson (Orphan) wants to keep the screams coming as the screenwriter has been hired to write the remake of the Australian horror suspense film Lake Mungo (watch 4 minutes of the original) for Paramount Vantage. Vantage picked up rights to "Mungo" in November, when it premiered at the American Film Market. The story revolves around the paranormal events that envelop a grieving family when their teenage daughter apparently dies. The original, written and directed by Joel Anderson, used a faux-documentary style to lay out the film's mystery, but the updated version will take a more traditional narrative approach. Roy Lee and Doug Davison of Vertigo Entertainment (The Ring, The Grudge, Quarantine) are producing with Arclight Films' Gary Hamilton and the film's original producers, David Rapsey and Georgie Nevile. ...Read More

The Ancient Romans believed that the soul escaped one's body with the last breath. It was believed that last breath held the power to cure disease and prolong life. In 1930's, Dr. Robert Kaminsky devoted his life to finding out how to harness the power in the last breath. Susan Jordan owns a local novelty shop. One item in her shop, an antique box once owned by Doctor Kaminsky, draws the interest of two men: Raif Collins who hopes it's contents can save his dying sister, and Alex Poe whose motives are more mysterious. Today the official YouTube Channel for Full Moon posted three behind-the-scenes videos from the tenth installment in the Puppetmaster series. Danny Coogan, a young man in the 1940s, uses killer puppets to fight America's enemies during World War Two.
