TIFF '10: New Image Gallery for 'Black Swan' Posted 10 Hours 33 Minutes ago Before arriving in theaters on December 1 from Fox Searchlight, Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan will premiere at both the TIFF and in Venice. Starring Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis, Vincent Cassel, Winona Ryder, Barbara Hershey, Sebastian Stan, Kristina Anapau, we were supplied with a revised one sheet along with a few stills from the flick that centers on a veteran ballerina (Portman) who finds herself locked in a competitive situation with a rival dancer, with the stakes and twists increasing as the dancers approach a big performance. But it's unclear whether the rival is a supernatural apparition or if the protagonist is simply having delusions. How dark the film will be is yet to be seen. In the Alex Aja-directed killer piranha movie, Jerry O'Connell played a Joe Francis-like character who had his manhood chomped off and burped up by one of the critters. Suits at the Weinstein Company are expecting plenty of votes for the folks from "Jersey Shore" and the "Real Housewives," which equal about a dozen new ways to cheese-up the sequel. If you could choose a celebrity to meet their fate, who would you pick? Personally, I'd rather see an actor or actress I admire take on the role, but that's just me... Posted September 3, 2010 @ 1:12 When Dimension Films' Grindhouse was gearing up for release back in 2007, a contest was held asking fans to create their own faux grindhouse trailer. The result was Jason Eisener's Hobo With a Shotgun, which has since been transformed into a full-length feature. While Machete's feature-length version lacked a certain, I dunno, authenticity, this unrated trailer for Eisener's film already looks like it knocked one out of the park. The trailer features Rutger Hauer (Blade Runner, The Hitcher) as the ass-kickin' Hobo. He gives one helluva speech -- and then the blood begins to flow. Oh does it flow. Collider is reporting that Del Toro's first choice casting for his At the Mountains of Madness adaptation is none other than Tom Cruise. They also report that Chris Pine's name has been thrown around to also star in the 3-D pic being produced by James Cameron. Universal Pictures is producing this monster H.P. The story follows a team of pipeline workers who struggle to survive in the Alaskan wild after their plane crashes there.
