Cottage Director Heads to ‘Cherry Tree Lane’
Thanks to Sony many of you had the chance to see The Cottage, which was a pretty decent direct-to-disc release here in the States. It was announced today that director Paul Andrew Williams will begin principal photography on his third feature, Cherry Tree Lane, on July 16 in North London. Williams has also penned the script for the urban thriller, about a couple who are terrorised in their own home by a gang of youths hunting their son. “Cherry Tree Lane is tense, harrowing and even disturbing at times, and how these elements are handled, dramatically and cinematically will determine the final style of the film,” Williams said, “It is closer in style to London to Brighton creatively, but the social issues it brings to the fore and the currency of the subject matter will mean it has broad cinematic appeal.”
