Cannes: Promo Art For ‘And Soon the Darkness’ and ‘Cotton’
Cannes kicked off this past weekend and this morning the first round of images made their way online. Inside you can take your first look at the sales one sheet for Daniel Stamm’s Cotton, which is being produced by Eli Roth (Hostel, Cabin Fever). The one sheet teases “If you believe in God, then you believe in the Devil.” In addition, you can take a look at art for the remake of And Soon the Darkness, which stars Amber Heard, Odette Yustman, Adriana Barraza and Karl Urban. Watch for plenty more in the coming week as Cannes continues on.
Art from First Showing:
COTTON
A horror film in the vein of “Cloverfield” and “Blair Witch Project”. The story concerns an evangelical minister who turns against religion and decides to participate in a documentary in which he practices his last exorcism.
AND SOON THE DARKNESS
Set in Argentina, “Darkness” tells the story of two American girls on a bike-riding trip in a remote part of the country. When one of them goes missing, the other must find her before darkness falls and her worst fears are realized. The original was set in France and tackled the idea of how vulnerable a stranger in a strange land can be.
