Published

on

It’s not a just a “fixer upper,” it’s “a mansion!” The more I see the more I wish I was going to Sundance (who can afford that, jeez). Below you can dig on the fifth clip from Eli Craig’s (interview) horror comedy Tucker & Dale vs. Evil, a backwoods comedy of horrific errors in which two unsuspecting buddies, Tucker (Alan Tudyk) and Dale (Tyler Labine), fall victim to the crazed machinations of a group of spring breakers who have mistaken them for backwoods killers. When Dale shelves his phobia of the opposite sex to rescue one of the college co-eds, Allison (Katrina Bowden), from drowning, all her friends mistake him for a bearded psychopath hauling their friend away to a shack in the middle of the woods. In trying to rescue their friend, the college co-eds continually off themselves one by one and Tucker and Dale try to figure out why these college kids are killing themselves all over Tucker’s property!

‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ Heads Home to Digital in One Week

Published

on

A box office powerhouse, director Adam Wingard’s Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire has raked in $547 million at the worldwide box office since its debut in theaters back in March, and we’ve learned this morning that the Monsterverse mashup is headed home next week.

You’ll be able to own Godzilla x Kong on Digital beginning Tuesday, May 14!

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire sees the legendary Titans Godzilla and Kong team up to face a world-ending threat so terrifying that neither of them could survive it alone.

Meagan wrote in her review of the new movie for Bloody Disgusting, “Wingard continues the kaiju spectacle with the latest Legendary Monsterverse crossover event, this time injecting an even greater sense of adventure and silliness. It’s the type of epic-sized popcorn movie that unleashes nonstop monster brawls and tongue-in-cheek humor in equal measure.”

Rebecca Hall is back as Dr. Ilene Andrews with Brian Tyree Henry also returning as Bernie Hayes, and they’re joined in Godzilla x Kong by Dan Stevens (The Guest, Abigail).

Adam Wingard (Godzilla vs. Kong) directed Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, which features a screenplay by Terry Rossio (Godzilla vs. Kong, Pirates of the Caribbean) and Simon Barrett (You’re Next) and Jeremy Slater (“Moon Knight”), story by Rossio & Wingard & Barrett.

“This latest entry in the Monsterverse franchise follows up the explosive showdown of Godzilla vs. Kong with an all-new cinematic adventure, pitting the almighty Kong and the fearsome Godzilla against a colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world, challenging their very existence – and our own. The epic new film will delve further into the histories of these Titans, their origins, and the mysteries of Skull Island and beyond, while uncovering the mythic battle that helped forge these extraordinary beings and tied them to humankind forever.”
