‘Monsters’ Star Circling Both ‘Lincoln’ and ‘Prometheus’
For a $200,000 movie (I love how the budget constantly changes), Monsters has created quite a trajectory for its director and star.
After Gareth Edwards got the job directing Legendary Pictures’ Godzilla, star Scoot McNairy has landed a lead alongside Brad Pitt and a great supporting cast in the Andrew Dominik-directed Cogan’s Trade, reports Deadline. But what’s important to Bloody Disgusting readers is that he’s in contention for a lead in the Ridley Scott-directed qiasi-Alien prequel Prometheus, and is circling the role of Josh Speed in the Timur Bekmambetov-directed Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, both at Fox. ‘Breathe’ Exclusive Clip – Milla Jovovich Returns to the Post Apocalypse This Weekend
Described as a heart pounding thriller set in the future, Jennifer Hudson and Milla Jovovich lead the cast of Breathe, and Bloody Disgusting has an exclusive clip for you today.
Breathe comes to theaters and Digital on April 26, 2024.
Both Hudson and Jovovich are featured in this clip from Capstone Global / Warner Brothers’ sci-fi thriller, and you’ll also find the previously released trailer underneath the clip.
In the film, “After Earth is left uninhabitable due to lack of oxygen, a mother Maya (Hudson) and her daughter Zora (Wallis) are forced to live underground, with short trips to the surface only made possible by a coveted state of the art oxygen suit made by Maya’s husband, Darius, whom she presumes to be dead. When a mysterious couple arrives claiming to know Darius and his fate, Maya tentatively agrees to let them into their bunker but these visitors are not who they claim to be ensuing in mother and daughter fighting for survival.”
Stefon Bristol directed Breathe, written by Doug Simon. The impressive cast also includes Quvenzhané Wallis and Raúl Castillo with Common and Sam Worthington.
The film is Rated PG-13 for bloody violence and strong language.
