New Year’s Eve Turns Into a Hell of a Night

Published

I love a good thriller, especially one where a good time ends so very, very badly (and appears to give homage to the great Alfred Hitchcock).

Matt Lanter (The Roommate, Vampires Suck, Sorority Row) , Gillian Zinser (Manson Girls), Torrance Coombs and Sara Paxton (The Innkeepers, Last House on the Left, Shark Night 3D) will star in the psychological thriller Liars All, written and directed by Brian Brightly, writes THR.

Alice Evans, Tiffany Mulheron and Randy Wayne also appear in “the story of a group of friends celebrating New Year’s Eve in London by playing a provocative game that ultimately gets terribly out of control.

The indie production is scheduled to begin filming Monday in L.A.

Anyone remember The Breed? Released in 2006, the Nicholas Mastandrea-directed killer dog movie is notable for being produced by the late Wes Craven, though it’s been largely forgotten in the many years since its release. Almost 20 years later, The Breed gets a remake!

Variety reports this week that Grace Caroline Currey (Fall) will star in the upcoming remake of The Breed, which will be directed by filmmaking brothers Sean and Bryan Furst.

The remake is described as “an unconventional reimagining of the Wes Craven cult classic,” though again the original movie wasn’t directed by Craven and isn’t quite a cult classic.

In any event, Curmudgeon Films will be producing The Breed. In the new take on the 2006 horror movie, “Violet [Grace Caroline Currey] is a rebel icon and badass on a mission to search for abandoned dogs on a remote island which leads to complete adrenaline-fueled terror.”

The original movie was loaded with familiar faces, including Michelle Rodriguez, Taryn Manning, and Oliver Hudson. You can watch the original trailer for the 2006 movie down below.
