TV: [Next On] AMC’s ‘The Walking Dead’ Cast Takes Aim At Season 3
Now that AMC’s second season of The Walking Dead has come to an end, the cast and crew have already taken aim at the forthcoming third season that promises to up the ante with the introduction of David Morrissey as iconic The Governor and Danai Gurira as the badass Michonne, the legendary heroine from the Robert Kirkman comic series on which the zombie drama is based. “‘The Walking Dead’ tells the story of the weeks and months that follow a pandemic zombie apocalypse. Furiosa will release in theaters on May 24, 2024. The film will tell the origin story of the character Charlize Theron made famous in Fury Road, also directed by George Miller.
“As the world fell, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland they come across the Citadel presided over by the Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.”

“Whereas Fury Road essentially happened over three days and two nights, this happens over many years,” Miller had teased during a press conference last year.
Miller is co-writing and directing the movie for Warner Bros.
Back in 2015, Mad Max: Fury Road grossed nearly $400 million worldwide at the box office and won SIX Oscars, while also scoring rave reviews nearly across the entire board.
Last we heard, Miller also intends on making sequels centered on Tom Hardy‘s Mad Max.
