Bryan Cranston Gets Villainous for ‘Total Recall’
Columbia Pictures’ Total Recall just got a whole lot cooler to me as “Breaking Bad” star Bryan Cranston is in negotiations to play the villain opposite Colin Farrell in the Len Wiseman directed sci-fi pic, scripted by Kurt Wimmer.
Michael Ironside played “Richter” in the 1990 flick.
The original, based on the Philip K. Dick story “We Can Remember It for You Wholesale,” “follows a man haunted by a recurring dream of journeying to Mars who buys a literal dream vacation from a company called Rekall Inc., which sells implanted memories. The man comes to believe he is a secret agent and ends up on a Martian colony, where he fights to overthrow a despotic ruler controlling the production of air.”
Columbia hopes to have it ready for launch on August 3, 2012.

‘Something in the Water’ – Next Shark Attack Horror Movie Swims Home in May [Trailer]
Samuel Goldwyn Films is bringing shark attack movie Something in the Water to select theaters and VOD outlets at home on May 3, Bloody Disgusting has learned this week.
In the upcoming aquatic horror movie, “An idyllic destination wedding turns into a battle for survival. The film follows Meg (Hiftu Quasem, Ten Percent), who tentatively attends the wedding of old friend Lizzie (Lauren Lyle, Outlander) in the Caribbean along with fellow pals Cam (Nicole Rieko Setsuko, Eavesdropping) and Ruth (Ellouise Shakespeare-Hart, One Four Three), plus her former partner Kayla (Natalie Mitson, The Larkins) who she parted ways with after both survived a deeply traumatic event.”
Naturally, the wedding party is invaded by hungry sharks and all hell breaks loose.
You can watch the official trailer for Something in the Water below. The shark attack horror film is directed by Hayley Easton Street, featuring a screenplay written by Cat Clarke.
Hungry for more shark attack horror? Netflix and director Xavier Gens (Frontiers, Cold Skin) are getting set to unleash Under Paris, which swims onto the streaming service on June 5.
