‘The Door’ Becomes ‘Shadow People,’ First Stills
With two other films carrying the same title, I’m not exactly sure how smart it was to change Matthew Arnold’s The Door to Shadow People.
Announced last December, Shadow People is inspired by true events concerning a radio talkshow host (played by Dallas Roberts) who’s drawn to exploring paranormal activity by a caller and an unexplained death. Alison Eastwood will play a CDC investigator.

“SHADOW PEOPLE is a psychological-thriller that explores the rare medical phenomenon known as SUNDS (Sudden Unexplained Nocturnal Death Syndrome). Millions of people across the globe have had encounters with what they describe as dark, shadowy creatures that visit them at night. Small town radio personality CHARLIE CROWE (Dallas Roberts) is thrust into the mystery when a strange caller relates a terrifying experience during Crowe’s late night call-in show. At the same time, CDC Public Health Agent, SOPHIE LANCOMBE (Alison Eastwood), is hot on the trail of the cause of the rare medical condition known as SUNDS. Her investigations entwine her with Charlie’s own discoveries and take them both into a dark world and a decades old cover-up about the phenomenon we now call, The Shadow People. Once you open the door to the mystery…you’ll never sleep soundly again.”

‘Blink Twice’ Trailer – Director Zoë Kravitz Invites You to a ‘Pussy Island’ Murder Party This Summer
“Soooo… everybody’s dead. How about we start at the beginning,” Channing Tatum narrates the opening moments of the trailer for Blink Twice, which debuted online this week.
Directed by Zoë Kravitz (The Batman), and formerly titled Pussy Island, MGM’s upcoming Blink Twice will be released only in theaters on August 23, we’ve learned this afternoon.
Naomi Ackie stars alongside Channing Tatum in Blink Twice, with the film’s impressive ensemble cast of familiar faces also including Kyle MacLachlan, Adria Arjona, Alia Shawkat, Simon Rex, Haley Joel Osment, Christian Slater, and Geena Davis.
In Blink Twice, “Tech billionaire Slater King (Channing Tatum) meets cocktail waitress Frida (Naomi Ackie) at his fundraising gala, and sparks fly. He invites her to join him and his friends on a dream vacation on his private island. It’s paradise. Wild nights blend into sun-soaked days and everyone’s having a great time.
“No one wants this trip to end, but as strange things start to happen, Frida begins to question her reality. There is something wrong with this place. She’ll have to uncover the truth if she wants to make it out of this party alive.”
Kravitz wrote the script alongside E.T. Feigenbaum.
