A Flurry Of Violence Unleashed In ‘The Raid’ Theatrical Trailer!
While other horror websites take jabs at us for covering Gareth Evans’ The Raid, the fact of the matter is that none of them have seen the movie. Not only is the movie jam-packed with face-stomping action, but it’s nothing short of bloody and disgusting. We reserve the right to cover this insanely gory foreign film that premiered last September at TIFF (read our review), and you’ll eventually thank us for it.
In theaters March 23, Sony Pictures Classics has released the first oficial theatrical trailer for the thriller now titled The Raid: Redemption . Check it below.
“Rama, a member of a special forces team, arrives at a rundown apartment block with a mission to remove its owner, a notorious drug lord. The building has become a sanctuary to killers, gangs, rapists and thieves seeking accommodation in the one place they know they cannot be touched by the police. Furiosa will release in theaters on May 24, 2024. The film will tell the origin story of the character Charlize Theron made famous in Fury Road, also directed by George Miller.
“As the world fell, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland they come across the Citadel presided over by the Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.”
Chris Hemsworth co-stars as Warlord Dementus.
“Whereas Fury Road essentially happened over three days and two nights, this happens over many years,” Miller had teased during a press conference last year.
Miller is co-writing and directing the movie for Warner Bros.
Back in 2015, Mad Max: Fury Road grossed nearly $400 million worldwide at the box office and won SIX Oscars, while also scoring rave reviews nearly across the entire board.
Last we heard, Miller also intends on making sequels centered on Tom Hardy‘s Mad Max.
