Tyler Bates Offer Free ‘Halloween I and II’ Score Downloads!

Composer Tyler Bates sent out the following newsletter, “I hope you are all very well! We have received many inquiries about the anticipated physical CD release of music from Rob Zombie’s HALLOWEEN I and II on the Abattoir Recordings label. Because there was not enough lead time to create the package that we wanted to make available to fans of the movies, we decided to make many of the previously unreleased tracks available to you as free downloads from the Tyler Bates website. Just click on the HALLOWEEN LOGO in the music play-list at the bottom of the homepage, and you will find ten previously unreleased tracks that are available one time only for the next thirty days. If you have not yet picked up the itunes version you can do so here. We will keep you updated on all future Abattoir releases.” SWEET. Both films are now available on DVD and Blu-ray.

One of my personal favorite horror movies of all time, 1987’s gateway horror classic The Gate is opening back up on May 14 with a brand new Blu-ray SteelBook release from Lionsgate!

The new release will feature fresh SteelBook artwork from Vance Kelly, seen below.

When best friends Glen (Stephen Dorff) and Terry (Louis Tripp) stumble across a mysterious crystalline rock in Glen’s backyard, they quickly dig up the newly sodden lawn searching for more precious stones.
