At long last some word on when we might be able to see Michael Dougherty’s Trick ‘r Treat (review, set visit), the horror anthology from Warner Bros. that has been fighting for a release for quite some time now. After hitting the road in July for a limited theatrical run, you’ll finally be able to pick the film up at a retailer near you on either Blu-ray or DVD this October. Also arriving in September will be the soundtrack and DC/Wildstorm’s new four-issue comic book based on the film that features four interwoven stories that occur on Halloween: An everyday high school principal has a secret life as a serial killer; a college virgin might have just met the one guy for her; a group of teenagers pull a mean prank; and a woman who loathes the night has to contend with her holiday-obsessed husband.

The TPB will arrive in stores in October.
