30 Days of Night: Dark Days

Bloody Disgusting has exclusively learned that Ben Ketai has been tapped to direct 30 Days of Night: Dark Days, a story from both Steve Niles and Ketai. Shooting is already slated to begin this October in Vancouver, Canada. We also learned that Stella Oleson returns as the lead character, but she will be recast (Melissa George toplined the first film). In the sequel, Stella joins a group of vampire hunters in order to get revenge on Lilith - the vamp responsible for the attack on her Alaska town. Ketai wrote directed the web series "30 Days of Night: Blood Trails" and "30 Days of Night: Dust to Dust."

Sounds interesting, I think it will depend who they cast though and vampire hunter storylines can go either way.

huh, I'm interested I guess. Dark Days is one of the only stories from that comic series that I like even a little bit. If they can turn that first mini series into a good movie I'm sure they can do better with this one.

I didn't realize the story continued in the comic book series (i know nothing about comics), guess it could be a pretty good sequel if the material is there.
Really liked the first but agree it would be much better if Melissa George was returning. |

Well, I guess this gives me a reason to finish what I always put aside for something else.
EDIT: Really enjoyed the first film, though.
