Earliest Friday the 13th Memory...

I'm writing an article about all of the cast and crews earliest memories of Friday the 13th and Jason Voorhees and wanted to link to a thread where all of you can post your memories. Thought it would be fun... so yeah, tell me about it!

My earliest memory was my friend Scott would rent the films and I would go home because they scared me. I remember seeing the cover art vividly and not knowing ANYTHING about the franchise, but for some reason the mask freaked me out. One time I tried to watch one (I don't recall which one) and it totally freaked me out. It was funny though, I WANTED to see the movies but couldn't muster up the courage.

I also remember seeing a bunch of Friday 6 and being oddly enchanted by it, like a snake being charmed.

My very first horror experience was with Friday the 13th. I was in my older brothers room just going through his stuff (I was really young) and I stumbled upon Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter. I eagerly popped it into the vcr that night and that was it. From there on in, I was obsessed with horror and horror movies.

To this day, TFC remains my favourite F13th and one of my all time favourite horror movies.

Dober this is for memories not for you to express your fandom. Silly boy.
Mine is venturing into my dad's video shelf and seeing the VHS, the box scared me, so that I could not sleep. I watched it and I was even more scared. That was what created my obsession with Friday the 13th.Although, it comes after Halloween. Michael Myers for life!!!

I think my earliest memory is just looking at the box covers in the video store...and even that giving me the creeps (I was incredibly little).

EDIT: Since the son of a bitch above me mentioned basically the same thing...I also remember trying to watch Jason Lives on TV when they first aired it, and I was so freaked out that I had to turn it off after a couple minutes. Ironically, it's one of my favorite horror films today.

My aunt and uncle took me to see friday the 13th part 3 in 3d when I was a kid. It was my first friday movie as well as my first 3-d movie. Even though this is not my favorite friday movie. It is with out a doubt the reason why I love friday the 13th movies.

Watching part 3 with my cousin when I was like 7 one of the first horror movies I watched and the one that made me fall in love with the genre.
