I'm very happy Englund isn't attached to this remake as Freddy. After Freddy's Dead I'll never be able to take him seriously, and besides, to make the film a remake, a fresh Freddy is necessary, otherwise it would be too much like a new sequel.

That's how I see it. It's not like the guy hasn't had his fair share behind the mask. Hopefully it still feels like Freddy though.

I'm half and half. I'm some what diss hearted knowing its no longer Englund guiding the glove. And in that aspect we all know Fred will be different.

Yet on the other hand, I really am looking forward to seeing what Jackie does with the role and character. I'm trying to stay positive, I must say I'm actually quite pumped for this now!
