Default H2: Halloween 2 (2009)

Since this is not referencing the already released Rob Zombie film, and instead the inevitable sequel, there is no good reason for this to be locked like the rest of the threads...

I hear the sequel is already being planned to be released by next year at the same time...

Considering McDowell signed, or so he said, a three picture contract it's needless to say that in some form or another Loomis will be returning as well as Michael...

This is what I've heard:

From Fangoria.com:

September 3: No more HALLOWEEN?

In its coverage of the excellent box office posted by Rob Zombie’s HALLOWEEN this past weekend (see our item here), The Hollywood Reporter queried Bob Weinstein, head of distributor Dimension, about whether its success would lead to the inevitable sequel. Surprisingly, Weinstein replied it was doubtful. “I never say never never…but it would have to be something very, very different,” he told the trade. Of course, it’s hard to imagine Dimension won’t want to follow up such a profitable picture (HALLOWEEN cost only $15 million to make)—and it’s also doubtful the company would take the next film in a Michael Myers-less direction, given the box-office indifference and fan brickbats that greeted HALLOWEEN III back in 1982. For his part, Zombie has said he won’t be back for another installment. We’ll keep you posted on any new developments. —Michael Gingold

I don't believe that...

I believe they said it...but I don't believe they mean it. It's a business...and if they can make money off of something you can be damn sure they'll milk it for a profit as long as they can...

I mean, look at Saw!

Oh, I'm almost positive that HALLOWEEN will be back.

Just not zombie, and it probably won't be a direct sequel to his piece of shit either. Thank GOD!

This thread is as worthless as Rob Zombie's Halloween.
