Brilliant Work Thomas Jarvis! I'm a collector of film tie-in novels (not just horror) and some of the links you put up were handy. Do you have the NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD by John Russo yet? That's a good one.

![]() I don't have very many myself at this time, actually. Used to have several of the Amityville ones, the first 'Alien' novel and Carl Dreadstone's 'Bride of Frankenstein' (as well as the four 'Halloween' movie novelizations and the two 80's 'Elm Street ones) but I was a kid when I had those and they've long since dissappeared into the dustbowels of time. Here's what I have now: Friday the 13th Part 3 3-D by Michael Avallone Friday the 13th Parts 1, 2, and 3 by Simon Hawke Night of the Living Dead by John Russo Return of the Living Dead also by Russo Phantasm by Kate Coscarelli Young Frankenstein by Gilbert Pearlman Freddy VS Jason by Stephen Hand Aliens by Alan Dean Foster and in crappy condition: Poltergeist by James Kahn Poltergeist II by Kahn 'Jason Lives' by Simon Hawke

Here's the link to a site with some of the only online information I could find about the first two 'Mad Max' novels: http://www.madmaxmovies.com/archives/books/index.html I've been meaning to get ahold of the 'Escape From New York' and 'The Dark Crystal' novels. Too bad there aren't novelizations for 'Escape From L.A.' or Ridley Scott's 'Legend'. As far as I can tell, there is no novelization for 'The Hitcher'. Which is too bad, it would be such a cool tie-in to own, considering that the 'The Hitcher' is one of the top thirteen best horror films of the 80's (according to both Fangoria and myself). So is 'Near Dark', but that doesn't have a novelization either, nor does 'Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer'. I looked up "Southern Comfort" on Amazon, and there was a book by that title published the same year as the movie was released. I have no idea whether or not it's actually a novelization, as I couldn't locate any cover art when searching Google Images, and there weren't any copies for sale on eBay. Couldn't find any information on the plot of the book or its origins either, just the authors and the year of publication. Amazon did not even list the publishing house, which is NOT a normal thing for Amazon! But I did find out the publisher from a different online bookseller. Here's the info I dug up: http://www.abebooks.com/servlet/Sear...sbn=0523417160 'Southern Comfort' by Blake Schaefer & Carol Schaefer Pinnacle, 1981

Thanks for the info TJ, I'll have to check and see if that is the SOUTHERN COMFORT movie novel. Yeah that MAD MAX 2 book; my girlfriend went to live & work in Australia for a year and came across a good second-hand copy in a charity shop, she knew it was one of my favourites so she sent it over - it's a good tie-in that even has ten pages of b&w photos. I'm gutted about there being nothing for THE HITCHER and even LEGEND... oh well.

Added 'Damien: Omen II' to its proper alphabetical placement...
