Thumbs down

Not to be negative but I grew up with the original and this remake does not add up and cannot hold a candle to Michael Ironside, Mark Singer, and the original Ana, whose name was Diana, played by Jane Badler.

They gave away too much too soon and left me with no mystery.

Sorry not going to watch another remake!! The lady that was on Lost (Elizabeth Mitchell), who jumped to this show may be the only one who might keep the it running for a few more episodes. Good night and good luck!!

I thought it was a decent set up. I'll check out the rest but I'll have to see where they leave it after the 4 they've shot...

I thought it was ok, I will keep watching it but there was no big draw for me in it.
Like nothing to keep me wanting to watch it.

Elizabeth Mitchell did do a great job though.

Is the new V series full-length or just a mini-series? Can't seem to find anywhere how many episodes it's going to run for.

I initially thought the same about revealing too much but they certainly have some new twist to the story. Otherwise why show so much in the first episode? I wasn't too impressed but will continue to watch it in hopes that it'll get better.

It's got my attention for the moment... we'll just have to see whether it works.

I too grew up with the original. I loved it but having watched it a few times, over the years, it's dated badly. Seeing some of the original cast make cameo roles would be great but I just don't think it will happen.

I'll give it another couple of weeks, just to see what they've got planned. They certainly blew alot of the mystery away.

It looks interesting...only 2 episodes into the series so far...but it seems like they're giving away more than what the original series did...so hopefully they'll keep it interesting

The first instalment was a 6 hour mini-series, followed by a second 6 hour mini-series before a regular TV series.

By that bar, they could have laid it out as 4-6 eps of "set up" before the eps are even written anything like a typical series (the 1st two acts of a three act story), and even then we prolly won't get many self-contained eps. Prolly more like Lost in that some things answered, new things questioned, mostly ongoing. (tho not to compare it to Lost otherwise).
