it's a 2008 article, as 2009 hasn't wrapped up and holiday sales are a big factor.

facts (not opinion)- Microsoft sold 8 MILLION more 360's than PS3's.
Xbox Live has over 17 million subscribers (and counting).

I'm not going to get into sales numbers for games. obviously, with the Xbox 360's higher install base, their ability to generate higher sales is in their hand.

then tag on the fact that Xbox Live users have had the ability to stream Netflix for a year now, and it only adds to the value of the service. stronger servers, which feature less lag is a nice addition Sony users don't regularly get. Better frame rates as well for most multi-console games, Dragon Age being the most recent.

then there's the exclusivity. Microsoft has this in spades. especially in the digital distribution department. Xbox Live Arcade's Shadow Complex is one of the best games to come out in 2009, period. and often times when arcade games are both on XBLA and PSN, Xbox usually gets them months prior to PSN. also, we had access to the Fallout 3 DLC for months prior to PSN.

I'm not going to slam the PS3. it's pointless. It is a good system (now). the problem is, it hasn't excelled at being a great game platform as much as a do-it-all machine. I have no problem with the PS3, I may pick one up this holiday season. But to say I had any more intentions with it than Uncharted and God of War would be a lie.

as for your friend(s) who have never heard of MGS4....well, that's because you're either lying, or they are extremely casual gamers who only play Halo and Call of Duty. which isn't a slight against MGS4 being known.

so those are the facts, not some troll's opinion. but then again, you didn't respond to my last post as their wasn't any troll food in their for you.

How is it that everybody I know who has a 360 says theirs broke within a year of buying it? Even here people are saying they're on their second or third system. What the hell are you people doing? Using the system as an ashtray or something?

I got my system in the beginning of 06 and it just got the red ring of death around March. Works fine now. I only got another system because I wanted an Elite, not because had to.

some people play them until the overheat. I'm on my third. although, I admit I've logged some seriously long gaming sessions on weekends.

the last time it went down, my girlfriend was gone for the weekend, so I played Sacred 2 for a good 10 hours.

next time I turned it on, it was done. although, I haven't paid a single cent to repair them.

Yeah I think I witnessed you binging out on scared 2.

I'm on my fourth.... only three of them broke(only one was RROD). The last time I tricked best buy into giving me into an upgrade to the 60GB. The strange thing they checked the system and confirmed it was broke. So not sure what's up with that.

who knows? I put a couple multi-hour sessions into Dragon Age today. nothing that hardcore, 2-3 hours apiece. that game is just so fucking huge.

the difficulty stopped me from going too long (besides the lady). this games difficulty is absolutely brutal on normal. I turned it down to casual because I was tired of getting my ass handed to me every 20 minutes or so.

prior to downgrade on difficulty, I never felt like the badass the game would have you believe. my warrior chopped on beast and foe repeatedly to slowly drain their health, if I ran into a 5+ horde, we might be fucked.

now, it's way more balanced. a couple enemies will quickly get mowed down, a larger horde will pound on us a little, and bosses still put up a fight. but at least I don't feel like my warrior's a pussy anymore.

the game is still addicting as fuck. it's like Lord of the Rings made a good game. the combat could be better. I'd prefer more of a Champions of Norrath approach to combat, where when I hit the attack button, they attack. opposed to issuing commands in their pseudo real-time combat.

You need to get a healer. If you have one with decent skills, and a TON of Lyrium potions, they can make all the difference in the world. I had one for a bit, but she'd only heal until her magic was depleted, then just stand there. Once I set her up to use Lyrium potions, once her magic is at 25%, battles have been a breeze.

Once I can craft decent sized Lyrium potions, I'll be set.

I know it seems like im slamming the 360 and its fans but im not. Im fine with the 360, i just wanted to give my views on both systems. Yes, 360 has more exclusives and a better online service, but thats what you should expect when you pay for it. That is also why xbox has had netflix for a lot longer than the PSN.

As for my freinds who play, they are all avid gamers. The problem is they dont own a ps3 and they never play it, hence they know nothing about it. The funny thing is that they all used to have a
ps2 and ps1, but since the 360 was so much cheaper, they decided to jump on the bandwagon and pick one up. I dont have a problem with that its just that now they disregard playstation all together, which is kinda sad.

Also jumping back to the exclusives, there are about the same amount of them now on both systems, compared to when both systems came out. All lot of them fail to get mentioned. IMO i think there are more stronger PS3 exclusives than 360 has. Xbox has Gears and Halo and Left 4 dead sure. The PS3's big exclusives are LBP, MGS series,Killzone, Uncharted, Ratchet and clank series, Heavy Rain(hopefully good), God of war, InFAMOUS, MAG, Resistance series, SOCOM,and Gran turismo. Now they can be argued as how good they are as well as the 360 exclusives. Ive played most of them, IMO they are all very good games.

Also im not going to get worked up over you calling me a troll lol. But in my previous post I layed down the facts for ps3, you may have been to ignorant to have accepted them, but they were the truth.Either way I think i'd rather have a system that doesnt require the maintenance and the money that XBOX demands, other than the price.

I killed Wynne. and I trained Morrigan to be a healer, but she still can't keep up all the time.

I had three of the 4 love scenes. the gay one with the elf was laugh enducing.

Yeah, killing Wynne was a defiinate mistake(if it's the person I'm thinking of). She has tremendous healing powers. Far better than Morrigan, in that regard.

I haven't had any romantic interludes yet. I guess I should get talking.

the only one I could get done was with Alistair. but I went one after the other, as I already had a high approval rating with them.

I found the star metal and had the star sword (whatever it's called) made (DLC from Warden's Keep). and damn! this thing is a beast! three attachments, I have paralysis, expert fire and ice runes in it. it's clocking for 70 damage.

right now I'm running around trying to tie up side quests, which sucks when they don't have exact locations.
