I love the franchise but I must agree. The series hasn't been GOOD since part 4
I thought Rob Zombie gave this series Something it was missing a back story and a way better Lorie that was not a whinny virgin
that in the 2nd film was more affected by that night in the first movie and at least she changed and became more alone and Distribed
and sorry parts 3,4,5,6,7,8 all sucked

It is like Rob made his Halloween's as if Michael Myers was now Michael Firefly, but I think his versions are going to be the best this franchise will ever get.

Quit trying to compare this to John Carpenter's version.... There will never be another like Carpenter's, so get used to it...
I liked RZ's remake. I didn't mind the sequel as it was fundamentally different to what I expected as a sequel to be. I reckon I was harsh when I said it was a shitty film. I was entertained, but it's not helped redeem 30 years of Halloyawn, IMHO. Even with the massive liberties he took with the characters.

You're right about the Halloween fans though but then I don't think anyone venturing into a remake, as opposed to a sequel, would have faired any better. Saying that if it was anyone else I probably wouldn't have even watched it... so he must've done something right.

Roll on a musical or a comedy. Either that or spade Myers over the head and leave it alone. Let Michael die. Put him out of his shitty film misery.

I'd say let this franchise die.... If people can spew this much hatred at Rob's versions while trying to say that Curse, H20 and Resurrection are "Okay" with a straight face is just so ridiculous.

When in truth they are much worse than anything Rob Zombie did with his two versions.... Like I said, this franchise was a joke way before Rob Zombie...

I respect your decision but even if you don't like 3, 4 was still excellent. The story was really damn fine and the suspense was palpable. The kills were decent and the film oozes Halloween authenticity not to mention some damn fine acting. Part 4 is fantastic
