Most of the love for this comes from the simple fact that Raimi directed it. I think it's pretty average.

I definetly wasn't Raimi's big return to the genre.

I didn't read all the other posts but of the ones that I did read no one mentioned "Thinner". This movie IS King’s "Thinner" with some "Evil Dead" moments thrown in. Not saying I didn't like it but I was very disappointed with the lack of creativity. I'm shocked that I haven't read anyone talking about the similarities between the two.

I went to see this owing to the storyline and ultimitely being directed by Raimi expecting a somewhat average movie.

But i am pleased to say that i absolutely loved this film, and would rate it very highly!

Will be buying the DVD release soon.

Yeah, somewhat. You must be a fool, if you think this movie was underhyped. You really thought this film was a masterpiece? Alright...

TrT isn't a bad movie to add to your collection. It was also a bit overhyped, but at least it was fun to watch, unlike Drag Me to Hell. I can't enjoy this movie when it only had 2 watchable scenes and made my money go down the drain.

Just noticed this, but why does Justin Long always appear in shitty horror films? This film and Jeepers Creepers, he wasn't that good in them. He fits better in comedy, imo.
