1. People who enjoy watching golf on tv (my Uncles)
2. Glenn Beck's popularity (He's like the crying man-baby version of Lewis Prothero from V for Vendetta)
3. Why the people in my dorm refuse to flush the toilet after using it.

I fuckin' LOVE his show on CC. Comedic gold, I tell you. And the cardigans? Brilliance. I rented one of his stand ups, recently and laughed my ass off.

Har, har. Wanting universal health care is beside the point entirely, though. Our government provides roads and financial aid and disaster relief - and those are all nice things - but do we think they're a "right"?

I, for the life of me, cannot understand why, in this one instance, people are unable to differentiate between a "right" and a "service".

I say let them work on and show they can provide health care right for our service men and women before they force it on the public.

Word. This isn't Denmark or Canada. This is a nation with 300+ million people (ten times that of Canada for perspective) run by the same government responsible for such successes as the Katrina relief effort.

It's all politics, anyway. "What will win us votes?" is all they care about. Just today, I read that they slid in a provisionthat would force insurance companies to cover "prayer treatments" like it's fuckin' physical therapy or some shit. Think there's much difference between Democrats and the "Religious Right"? It might surprise you to know that both John Kerry and the late Ed Kennedy supported this provision.

But I digress...
