I'm an aspiring writer who mostly writes mystery novels and hopes to one day go to film school. I would write horror but as a genre it seems to get no respect, which angers me because many horror films have powerful social commentary, such as the films of George Romero and Eli Roth.

Horror movies are my favorites, but I enjoy a good comedy, too, such as the films made by Judd Apatow and his production company.

Jeffery Deaver, Stephen King, Dean Koontz, J.K. Rowling (she has ensured that there will be future readers), Michael Crichton, Steve Alten (The Loch would make a heck of a film), and too many others to name.
