I really liked the premise of the film. And kudos to the creative team for creating an original horror film of sorts. I say this because the film "Dead End" kinda had the same premise. The gore effects were great but the film lacked suspense.
It's ok. Reeker is a simple, hack "n" slash American teenage horror, with some good scenes of violence, but lacks what a good horror should. Reeker is worth a watch, but don't expect a gore fest of a horror movie, because it isn't. It is a little freaky, but the acting isn't good enough to make it great.
Boring. I remember seeing this a few years back, and loving it, but as im older, i can say it's nothnig special, and I don't recommend this one. The scares are cheap, and one of the actresses coughs were so obviously faked. This movie isn't to be taken seriously as the stupid plot just makes the rest of the movie predictable. Apart from a few nice deaths the film is nothing to boast about.
The plot is so basic and simple, and was destroyed. If a films plot isn't exploited enough to be excellent, why bother making the movie?. The plot could be great, but with Amatuers behind the camera, the movie just wen't downhill.
The acting was surprisingly OK, with only one familiar face to me. Arielle Keppel, who was in The Grudge2 , wasn't as great in this, and her fake coughing was obvious.
Overall "Reeker" is nothing special, and doesn't really deserve recognition. My rating is 2/5

Reeker is a good impresive slasher. It is a good movie. But i never understood the ending. You have to pay close attention
Not bad, there's some fun to be had, and i'd recommend renting it.
Unfortunately I bought it because it seemed to be highly revered on this site. Not that it's a bad movie, it just doesn't have a lot of replay value due to it's conclusion.
On the downside, most of the characters are quite annoying, and even though he did just fine here, I will never be a fan of Eric Mabius. Sorry dude, you look like Bon Jovi and you killed 'The Crow' movies. Thankfully he's not in it too much, and up until the end all I could think was 'why the fuck does this guy keep showing up?'.
There is a good amount of humour in here, some stuff works really well (like the flare gun sight-gag mentioned in the official review) but at other times the humour feels forced.
Also, the monster is pretty corny, not that i mind stuff like that, but after watching the bonus featurette it seems the director was goin for something really scary, and that guy doesn't really cut it for me. He's a fun looking villain but i ain't havin any nightmares over him.
My bigggest complaint is the direction. At no point did this movie feel like a horror to me. The shots at night are too well lit, and I was very aware of how staged everything was at every moment, not once really losing myself in the atmosphere. To explain, it kinda looks like a really well done tv thriller. Nothing I could picture in a theatre.
Overall it's not a waste of time, and despite my growing hatred for 'the final twist', i think by the end it was all wrapped up in a pretty clever way that ALMOST made me want to watch it again... maybe.
