How is this a horror movie? I guess Nicholas Cage's bullshit accent was pretty frightening, but still...
Easily the worst comic book movie ever. Makes the Hulk look decent.

One of those that have all these cool things going for it, but they're all wasted on a very boring plot, horrible cast and possibly the worst ending to ever grace mainstream cinema.
Ha ha ha! Man this movie sucks, but it sort of hearkens back to a time when we didn't take our superheros so seriously. When they were cheesy and unrealistic and simply there just to satiate our lust for people with super powers beating up the irrationally angry evil doers.
I think Spiderman, the Hulk, Superman Returns, the new Batman franchise etc. could all take note from this film. You don't have to be serious and melodramatic. I mean, we're talking about people who put on funny costumes and fight each other here. You don't need to rationalize it with a deep back story. Just fucking kick ass and take names.
I absolutely loved the movie. I have been a fan of the comic book since the 70's and I thought they did a great job bringing it to the big screen. I think Nicholas Cage was great in the movie.

While I didn't hate the movie, I wasn't thrilled out of my seat either. Cage, God love him, didn't give his best performance. I'll admit though, one particular scene had me on the floor in hysterics. Fonda is just brilliant no matter what he does. Bentley played an excellent Blackheart. He had me actually looking forwad to his scenes. Mendes...why? Just why?
The action could have been better. I feel as though I was rushed through the fight scenes. The rest of the film contained nothing but useless chatter and a sad attempt to build up the characters.
In all, Ghost Rider was pretty much an hour plus of love sick fodder stuffed between short lived action.
I really dont understand why people hated this so much. Ya it wasnt great but ive seen so much worse(Hulk by Ang Lee anybody). Hopefully if they decide to make a new one it will be better.
what the f^%%%%$ was this piece of chess s^%^%% fest

Doesnt allow much thinking or a clever script, a pretty average ccomic book movie that should and could have been better, nicolas cage is cast well, but the script given doesnt allow him to do anything that new or interesting,a pretty silly plot that seems hard to believe, but if you ignore than and just enjoy the ride itself you find entertainment there, just not much intellegence.
Holy hell was this movie awful. I knew the moment I read that Nicholas Cage was going to be Ghost Rider that it was pretty much guaranteed to be a shit fest. I figured they would make up for the inevitable crapness with Cage as the lead with excellent action sequences, but even those were horrible. Just..... awful.
i don't know anything about ghost rider and i had my hopes up for this movie. I rented this and stayed up to watch it alone and i regretting picking this movie. It was horrible and boring. The movie was predictable and really had nothing to offer at all. The effects really weren't that good either.
I used to have loads of Ghost Rider comics as a kid I used to draw him and act out scenes from the comic as a kid.
When they announced it being made i was like that kid again...but when they mentioned Nicolas Cage as Johnny Blaze...i knew this was bad.
And I was completely horrified by this film, also insulted, and upset. It was badly done and Cage is now on my list....list of death. I can't describe it and quite frankly I don't want to.
If you loved X-men 1 and 2 like me (another one of my fav comics) then this film will truely disappoint. The main villian was poorly acted by a inexperienced actor..who wasn't convincing and the battle at the end was short and rubbish. It was more like a soap opera then an action film.
Lets see what Daniel Ketch has to offer! quite frankly they should leave it in the comics!
