the only death i thought was scary was when Ashlyn and Ashley were trapped in the Tan machines.
the roller coaster ride was also thrilling, because there's so much metal around that you don't know whether they'll die from hitting one, or just get injured, and if they get injured, the roller coaster will come back to run you over.
what i don't understand is how that emo/gothic guy Ian was the cause of the deaths. how is he the cause of it all? is it because he's gothic? are we all goth critics now? it's like saying that Marilyn Manson is the cause of the September 11 attacks; IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE!
still, this was entertaining, and to top it off, on the DVD, you can change the story around, which is cool.
Everybody dies in the end, and not the kind of plot I was hoping for

I felt this movie lacked acting, likable characters, originality. The deaths were both good and bad, CGI over took the fun for the most part though for example the weights smashed the guys head and looked way to unrealitic.

A great sequel. Loved the deaths, the cast and the return of Wong/Morgan. Character development could have been better, but the film is a blast. 8/10.

I liked this one but not as much as the first two. The rollercoaster scene and the end train sequence both were good but not like part 2's car crashes.Mary Elizabeth Winstead is a good actress but everyone else got on my nerves.Still had the amazing deaths and overall fun feel.

I loved this movie despite the fict it was so much like the first 2.

Frankly i enjoyed this one more than the second, mostly for the 'tanning bed death'. Gods that made me cringe. More imaginative deaths, but still, just another FD movie.

This movie was just another installment to the franchise but I enjoyed it.. The rollercoaster scene was probably one of the best beginning scenes of the series. I also like the tanning bed incident.. Probably one of my favorite deaths in the enter series.
Oh where did you go wrong final Destination. With a roller coaster as the premise how could you fail. This movie actually had some really good stuff in it. The tanning beds, the drive-up scene were both really good. But what killed it for me was the cast because there was literally no one to root for. I like Mary Elizabeth and all but she just didn't come across well in this. The whole idea of the pictures was intersting but it just didn't work well. I know what they were trying to do but it just didn't work. I think the finale came off really bad and luckily there was more to the movie because if it ended at the carnival this would have been rated much lower. Its worth a watch but overall I really didn't care for this one.
This movie seems to start from scratch. The first of the series was ok, and the second had a cool begining, but did not leave any impression afterwards. This movie is a screamer from start to finish. Outrageous deaths, some comedy, and a story you don't have to care about.
My favorite of the trilogy, but most others don't agree. In my opinion this one had the best deaths and the most gore. The rollercoaster sequence could have been better, but it was good.
I don't even know what to say about this movie... It sucked!! It was soooo STUPID!! This was the worst out of the series. The fact of using a roller coaster was just plain stupid. This movie did not deserve the title "final destination 3" they shouldn't have even of made a 3rd one! now their making a 4th one.... The first 2 was fine, they were good. After movies have sequels more then 2... it goes down hill!!
I am ready to admit that Final Destination 3 is a guilty pleasure. This is a terrible film with awful special effects, cringe worthy acting, and one of the most dull and cliched endings in Hollywood. So then why am I recommending it? It's simply fun. The cliches, the terrible acting, and ridiculous amounts of fun are essentially what makes it fun. Although, the most significant reason why it works is because the grotesque kills are prolonging and plentiful.
For every reason why it's bad, there's also a reason why it's good. The acting is atrocious, but that's what makes the fun. The film would be ruined by bimbos who finally use their brains, because then there would be no movie. Without its cliches or predictability, then the film would only be ten minutes long. Although, there is one statement that which ever way you spin, it's still a disadvantage of this movie.
And that is, the deaths. The kills are what make the movie. Everything else about the movie is utterly terrible. Although what would a horror movie be without an awful script, awful characters, and some of the worst CGI. Of the new generation, we all come to see it for two reasons, the kills and gratitutous nudity. Although the nudity here is brief and is not quite audible.
Overall, Final Destination 3 is exactly what you expect it to be. A gory roller coaster ride, literally, and some on-screen carnage. That's not necessarily a bad thing. It sure kept me entertained from beginning to end and certainly had me rooting for at least Mary Elizabeth Winstead, or Wendy. If you are expecting a slick, by the numbers, thriller you came to the wrong territory.
While most certainly not a great film by any means, FD3 is a fun excursion with some cool deaths (although if memory serves correctly, some deleted scenes had cooler kills) and is a fun diversion for an hour and a half.
First of all, this series had potential to make a huge gash on the horror genre. The sad part is, the series has drowned itself in a cast that is far scarier than the movies, and is filled with cheap and useless deaths. While some of the deaths are OK, they are not mind-blowing in any was, shape or form.
The kid should have ended with Smart House. At least that movie kicked ass.
The reason I liked this movie and didnt like any of the others, is because this movie didnt take itsself seriously, it made like it did but you knew it didnt. The concept of final destination is very original, and i remember loving the 1st one when I was young, but the first one actually is the worst of 3 bad movies. Because it took an awesome plot and threw in a bunch of teenaged bad actors to tell the story. You know why it bothers me? Heres a good example, I love death metal, and the more bands that come out, the less original and stupid there names get, now take a name like incubus, a great name for a sick death metal band, and incubus a band that sings about love songs 80 percent of their cds has that name. Final destinations plot cant be remade in a different form without being a ripoff, therefore making it stupid as hell, to bad the director got his hands on it. BUT, HOWEVER, the tanning scene in this movie is GREAT! terrifying, and the black guy whos head gets smashes, whew! I must have rewinded that scene 10 times and laughed my balls off every time. NONE OF THESE MOVIES ARE GOOD MOVIES, BUT THIS WAS THE BEST OUT OF THEM ALL.
The first one was innovative as no horror movie before never actually had death itself as the villian but by this one the concept is wearing pretty thin. We all knopw what to expect in a FD movie so there isn't really much suprise. Even guessing how the characters are going to meet there ends has now become a tad boring.
Even though the deaths are splat-tastic we know how its all going to play out, camera follows runaway trucks, water drips, trolleys, firecrackers etc until they cause freak accident and some D list actor goes splat. I think it's time for death to retire.
okay yes this film is not going to change your life and outlook on cinema, but it is fine, the kils are intresting and clever and the gore is pretty good, and mary winstead is hot so seeing her cast as the lead in any flick is never ever a waste of time, not the best in the franchise but still a cut above the average studio produced teen slasher movie

personally i thought that what would make or break this movie would be the deaths... and they were awesome. some of them just crept up on ya in the end, but overall the job was done and done very well if you ask me...
I love this movie a lot but i really dont know why. It is basically just people dying through the whole thing. I have seen it so many times and it never gets old. Except I always skip through the tanning bed scene because that freaks me out so much. I have never gone tanning since I have seen that.

I thought that fd3 was almost exactly the same as the first 2 just with different deaths and different ways to solve how they die.
Storyline: Girl has a preminition, gets her friends to hop off the ride, the rollercoaster crashes and now they are getting killed off one by one from the unstoppable force of death. 10/10
Acting: Actors did a fairly good job, pretty decent. 9/10
Special Effects: Dosen't get much more realistic than that. The best looking death was when the girl got owned from falling on the nail gun and triggering it to shoot through her head. 10/10
Best Scene: The rollercoaster crashing. 9/10
Ending: The last 3 survivors die on a train. 10/10
Overall this movie felt excatly the same to the first 2 but I loved the first 2 so of course I loved this one and I give it a 8/10
this a good movie, in fact after seeing i went and got it on dvd because i liked so much i highly recommend rhat you go see it if you havent seen it yet

I was looking forward to this movie for sometime. What a waste. I'm glad i saw it for free. I would have been pissed if i spent money on this turkey.
I was looking forward to seeing FINAL DESTINATION 3 ever since the second film ended. After some amazing previews, but mediocre reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect. What I got was one of the most chilling movies I've ever seen with a great plot and disturbing deaths. It really built up suspense and didn't rely on cheap scares. Originality was surprisingly present as well, with a great story, interesting characters, a camera element, and excellent beginning and ending sequences. I have to admit the introduction of characters was lame and the acting was bad at first, but everything got much better very quickly. After the film ended, I couldn't believe how good it was - the best of the FINAL DESTINATION films. Can't wait for the fourth movie in kick-ass 3-D!!
Now this movie had some fantastic death scenes, some of the best in the series but what makes it the worst is lack of character development. Remember in the first and second Final Destination, we learned what most of the characters were like, in this one they were just recycled stereotypes. I guess it makes them easier to kill but it's still no excuse for shotty character development. Where were the parents and people who were around them? The other friends they had? While this is purely a popcorn flick, it is a damn good popcorn flick.

I love all three Final Destinations but i think this is the best one. Mary Elizabeth Winstead is great, and gorgeous. The cast and death scenes were hilariously over the top in the best way possible. This is a great installment of a great series. In a way, i think this is the "Evil Dead" series of this generation. In no way is it as good or as brilliant as the Evil Dead, but when it comes to just plain fun, gory, cheesy horror, i can't think of another recent series that is better. Can't wait until 4.
Again i am only comparing this to Evil Dead in its potential for cult statis, not on quality.
sure its crappy but by now who cares about plot its about seeing people die in the most over the top gorey way of dyin and just for that it was fun as helllll bring on 8 more

Easily the worst of the trilogy, i loved the idea of it being on a rollercoaster, but the film lacked enough realistic stuff with roller coasters and it seemed like they didnt have much money to play with in this film, the acting and casting is the worst of the three, seeing as how glenn morgan and james wong returned for this third one after skipping the second, i had high hopes that were let down big time.
A few more memorable death scenes, but that's about all there is to recommend this one. At this point the premise is starting to wear thin. If the series is going to continue, they need to expand the mythology.

A lot of fun! It cut to the chase a bit quicker than the first two, but that's OK. I think that's what FD fans have come to enjoy about the series. The acting is up to par with the first two... Ashley and Ashley are hilarious (Oh my god, that was like so nice of us!)! This one's a winner!
The whole rollercoaster thing was a great idea but I was disappointed in this one. It started off great but wasn't what I thought it would be. Still not bad but not my favorite one.
This movie had the best opening hands down. It was intense and mercilis. The genius of the scene was the fact that it seemed like you were on the ride with them except in a force field. It had that sense of dread you get when youre on a ride you don't like you just say to yourself...please be over...please be over except of course your in your easy chair wishing the rest of the movie you just watched was as good as the begining.
This movie is great! Just as good as the other 2. The crash is great and the first death scene with the tanning beds is one of the best in the movie. But i feel that it got a big like the 2 main characters met with another and then someone died. But that is the only falt in the movie. Its defenitly worth a watch!
The best of the series. I loved this movie from start to finish. The deaths were even more inventive and gory. I still dont feel the same way anymore when I get on to a roller coaster.
I love this movie, it's not very scary (except fot the Roller Coaster scene, which scares the shit out of me), but it's gory, and satisfies. I think the ending should've been a little nicer to the main characters, but it was a great movie. And the "Choose Thier Fate" is awesome!
To me this is the best Final Destination movie. It was way better than 1 and 2! The actresses were good,(I love Mary Elizabeth Winstead) the story was good and emotional and, the blood and gore was awesome! This movie was a horror movie that had the same dirty creepy effect from films like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Wolf Creek, House Of Wax, and The Amytiville Horror had. And I have been waiting for that feeling for a long time now. all i can say is this movie is awesome and i hope final destination 4 is just as good.
Final Destination 3 is much more fun than his previous, because what you´ll find is a terrific opening in the rollercoaster, the deaths (all of them are great¡¡), and a new tip for defeat Death, which are the photos.
The characters are all stereotypical, but it doesnt care, because you want them to die¡¡
I have fun watching the movie, and I really want to see the 4 part in 3-D.
I wasen't extreamly happy when I heard that David R. Ellis and Eric Bress, the minds behind Final Destination 2, were not coming back because new line had decided to re-hire James Wong and Glen Morgan, the Director and writer of the original film. Final Destination 2 is my favorite of the series and it actually had nice twists and turns and a solid story, a worthy sequel and the best in the franchise. So while my jopes were dashed of FD3 being as good as FD2 thanks to the fact that David and Eric wasen't back, I tried to be hopeful.
On the weekend it was released, I took my nephew to go see "Final Destination 3". I walked out of the theater with mix feelings and to be honest most of those mixed feelings were negative.
Final Destination 3 brings nothing new to the franchise, the story is generic, the openening disaster wasen't mind blowing, the characters were stereotypical teenagers, no mixed ages like in FD2. You had the shy final girl, the american jock, the slut, the bitch and blah blah blah.
I think James Wong and Glen morgan really were trying to be comical with the film because they didn't know how to top Final Destination 2 in both the story department and kills department.
Overall, don't go getting this film thinking its going to be good, especially if you're an urber fan of FD2. Final Destination 3 brings nothing to the series and now I look at it as just a "fun" film, thats all. I'm just glad David and Eric are back for FD4,maybe now we can really get the series back on its gory and classic track.
