Great little horror/thriller. Not gory or violent by any means but a great mystery and creepy atmosphere. This movie is especially good with repeated viewings...everything adds up perfectly. The conclusion is great...surprising twist and an ending you think about long after. Loved all the actors, especially Gena Rowlands. Kate Hudson should do more horror flicks. Definitely check out.

This was a fair offering. The lead actress did a much better job in this then I have seen her do in other films, maybe Thriller/Horror should be the genre she moves into.
I loved the fact they showed a balanced view of Vodou (yes that is the proper way to spell it) for a change with the scene where she uses it to help remove the curse. It is very rare in a movie to see Spiritual Religions being used in a positive and very practical way.
As far as the "twist ending" you got a feel for it being foreshadowed in the party scene.

Hell yeah this movie was awesome ive never seen or heard it of Kate Hudson til i saw this movie and liked her alot because of her great acting this movie gives you alot of suspense and dread and even with the PG13 rating the movie manages to be violent and scary i would of wished this movie would of haved a sequel it would of been exciting but oh well at least this well to remain with me as a classic who didnt got ruined with a sequel(If you know what i mean THE RING TWO)

simple film that uses good acting and mystery to hook you to the very good shocking end that is really a smart ending that i ddidnt see coming, really cool ending, but if you dont like slower paced films, this one isnt for you!
