I know, I know, not a great movie, but something about it got to me.

This is easily John Carpenter's weakest film, but there's still a lot of JC to be found in it. I love the films of Romero, Hooper, Craven, etc...but I think Ghosts of Mars is more watchable than their worst movies.

Absolut Failure. The cast wasn't horrible I just think it didn't have much to offer and for this to come from John Carpenter?
C'mon guys, give John a mulligan on this one.I know its not the best movie ever made, but its not as bad as alot of people make it out to be. At least watch it once and then move on.
Ugh!! I'm very dissapointed with John Carpenter, director of such classics as Halloween and The Thing, where did you go wrong? How does the director of some of the greatest horror movies in history go to a retarded ghost story with ICE CUBE?
This movie sucked period, the only okay decent thing was 1 or 2 decapitations that lasted 1 sec each, I wish I could rate this movie lower because it was a piece of sh**. I just started playing guitar in the middle of the movie because I was so bored and couldn't stand watching this hunk of shit.
Instead of people watching 2 Girls 1 Cup people should just watch this hunk of sh** and it'll make them puke at how bad it is XD. 2/10, wish it could go lower.
Im Not Even Going To Rate This Move. Instead I am going to post another one of my rants. To me this movie is a rushed unfinished peace of film that does not fullfill me. How anyone can say they left this film fulfilled boggles me mind none the less I will say this it is a distress bin gem. John Carpenter is probably one of the most influenchal filmmakers ever everything that he does gets remade or inspires someone else to make a movie that he inspired. To me this movie is incomplete it does not leave me fullfilled or even remotely satisfied. The movie has no conclusion. To me this movie is guilty pleasure. Its not my favourite movie at the sametime i dont hate it. John Carpenter movies ofter cross cantaminate Science Fiction enviroments with Western inspired characters. Infact John Carpenter thought he was going to make westerns when he came to hollywood but that didnt happen instead he is now a cult director in the SciFi and Horror community.

Ghosts of mars was a bit strange and not very entertaining. It was kind of alright watching it the first time but after that you couldn't pay me enough to watch it again. The acting was pretty lame I am not a fan of ice cube and I thought that the lead female role was weak and couldn't act. The main enemy was weird, they started off as ghosts then they possesed people and turned them into mindless brutal tribes men who like to inflict pain on themselves by driving nails and shit through their face just to look a little more scary. The special effecs were pretty gay and the whole movie was drenched in blood. There was a few good action scenes and that is the only good thing about this movie. Some of the deaths were lame and unimaginative. The ending was a piece of shit and overall this movie was not good at all. The characters were extremely unlikeable and annoying, I couldn't care less when they died and the only half decent actor was jason stanthom who has been in some pretty good movies. Overall this movie was dull, depressing and boring and I rate it 3/10.
I didnt really mind it. It did keep my attention so I dont think it was that bad at all. I will say though its not his best work at all, and dont even get me started with his Vampires movie, horrible.

one of the worst carpenter movies and i hope it's not his last, dont leave your legacy of filmaking behind on the last film you made being ghosts of mars, although i dont hate it as much as most people, i did find the movie lacking interest in characters and felt that some of the horror stuff was the best part of the film itself, you get the sense the character ice cube plays is basically a ghetto version of snake plisken
actually i think i only watched it once and took the film back for a refund. John Carpenter must of had a bad year or something, because this is nothing like 'Vampires' (which was fun) or 'The Fog' or 'The Thing' i wonder why he released it. But watched it again on T.V and thought ...'MEH...'
