Jesus Christ, Jackson. What were you thinking.

"Alright, you know that iconic movie, 'King Kong?' The one with a classic story, stunning effects, and an amazing musical score that make it one of the best and most memorable movies ever made? Well, get this. We'll overload it with generic CGI. And I mean really flashy stuff, more like Terminator than the jaw-dropping realism of 'Jurassic Park.' Oh, and you know those really iconic scenes that the movie is remembered for, like the T-Rex battle and the finale at the Empire State Building? Well, let's drag each of these out and add so much shit to them that the audience just gets bored. And the love story? Let's make it so overly romantic and sexualized that it just becomes laughable, and beat the audience over the head with it again and again. All I need is a huge budget and a cast of vastly overrated actors and actresses. Alright, who's ready to murder a staple of cinema history?"

The 70's remake was bad, but at least somewhat entertaining. This? This was just an abomination. Save an extra two hours of your life and watch the original 1933 version. It may be the best movie ever. This one should just never have been made.

What do you get when you cross Raiders Of The Lost Ark, Jurrasic Park and Titanic ? One of the most boring, overlong and pointless movies ever made. This is a pure CGI fest with no heart and soul whatsoever. By the time the action revs up nearly an hour has past and then time is wasted as Kong battles dinosaurs! After the triumph of his LOTR trilogy, Peter Jackson created a disaster. By the time Kong falls from the Empire State building, you'll no longer care. Stick to the original.

A great remake of a classic, some say it was too long but I personally enjoyed every minute of it.

Amazing film, 3 hours flyby when you watch it and the CGI effects look amazing, Kong looks real! The person who plays King Kong also does a tremendous job and the ending is very sad. THere is lots of adventure and action and everything you could want in a film! Highly reccomend a near on perfect remake!

Don't even get me started on this trash. What an insult to movie goers. This is sheer eye candy and nothing else; totally devoid any real substance or logic. Fucking vampires? Get the fuck out of my face, Peter Jackson. You have lost your film making credibility.

I don't know where all these "the FX are timeless" and "it's one of the best remakes ever" are coming from because the film is nothing like that.
This film was one of the most hyped and looked forward to films of all the times. When the first trailer came out it looked terrific. Could Peter Jackson repeat LOTR? In short, no.
It's too long, over emotional and just takes bits and pieces from the other two films and sticks them in. Kong acted like a real gorilla, he just didn't look real. The film is overlit and has too many characters for us to try and care about. I have absolutely no idea what Billy Elliot is doing in this film.
Peter Jackson believed his own hype. Steven Spielberg would have done the big guy proud instead.

The story is time less , and the special FX are seemless , everything looked soooo real, a tad bit drawn out in the begining but I sat through it and walked out misty eyed.......

A bit lengthy in my taste, however a very good interesting film that has interesting characters with a nice plot and wonderful special effects, casted very well, succeeds in pure entertainment alone.
