I fucking hate musicals but this film is an exception.

a disturbing but brillant and unique movie. Great actors, great plot, great atmosphere

It has to be one of the weirdest, creepiest most unique horror film I've ever seen. It was so intreging! And the final 20mins are really quite shocking and disturbing. I don't really know what to think of it but I think I quite like it!

This is one of the most unique horror movies ever. It shows an entire religion and culture on this island and for that it is very effective. It's like a clash between two civilisations.

And it's like some hippie pagan paradise, where women dance around naked, people have orgies in graveyards and schoolkids are taught all kinds of strange beliefs.

It's quite entertaining seeing the Sargent's reaction to everything based on his conservative views. And the shock twist ending is pretty damn memorable.

A classic!

I will say this is better than the remake but still. Im sorry but I think this movie is over rated and is very dumb. Ya there are some chillen parts in the movie but overall its boring and the ending fucking pisses me off. He goes through all that trouble to find the girl and what does he get..he gets burned alive inside a giant wicker basket. Stupid.

This movie was,is,and will always be the definition of a nightmare. It still gives me the chills everytime I see It.

Seriously, such a low score for this classic??? I went in with no expectations for this film, and it became one of my favorites of all time. If you think the pacing is to slow, you do not know anything about movies, and you might as well rub one out to Britt Ekland.

Amazing movie. Not exactly a horror movie which is exactly what makes the ending so chilling. Great atmosphere, music and Christopher Lee just rocks!

This film is a classic of the genre, and for that it gets points, but let's face it, it was made in 1972, and it reeks of it.

IDK I wasn't expecting a musical , back when I saw this...And maybe thats why I hated it. IDK it was just really boring. I loved the nic cage one. That one is one of the most brillantly made comedys. Its so damn bad, so horribly acted. I lvoed it.
